Why is it we already have a Christmas wish thread, but no thread for Thanksgiving?

Well, anywho, what are you guys doing for Thanksgiving? I'm leaving for Arkansas tomorrow, where I'll be staying in some cabins with some family until Saturday.

I'm going to Church, and then to my Uncles house for dinner. Rather boring if you ask me.

I probably won't do anything fun, just the normal stuff. Yay, we get it 11 months before the Canadians!

Probably because it's a US-only holiday (although most of the H*R Wiki people live in the States).

I'm going to Alambama for a big family thing, but I can't bring video games!
It'll still be fun, though.

This year, I'm doing something different. Instead of going to my Uncle Fred for Thanksgiving dinner, I'm going to my Uncle Greg. They're both from different sides of my family, and I always had gone to Fred's. However, he decided to sell his house, so I'm going to my dad's family's this year. I don't really want to go, since my mom's family is small and so my Uncle and Aunt could cook everything. Extroadinarily well. Except the turkey was a bit dry. Now, my dad's family, whenever there's a party, everyone brings something, since the family is so large. So, I really don't want to eat only average dinner. Ah well. Food is food. Besides, it's a great opprotunity to do my Photography homework! I'll easily get a roll of location portraits! ;)

Actually, they do celebrate it in Canada, just it's in October up there...

Well, all the turkeys were sold out, so my dad bought two ducks.

Hooray?

By the way, I'm thankful that the world hasn't quite exploded in a massive wave of stupidity yet, although it dang well should have by now.

I'm thankful that I finally shot that dancing turkey with a flintlock blunderbuss. However, I still seem to have a problem on my hands. I chopped its head off with an ax and it's still dancing. Yeah, I'm quite certain that the bird is possessed or something.

I'm going up to my grandparents', as per usual, but it's nice to be home with my family again. College was eating my soul.

I'll be at my aunt's house, eating and playing video games with my many many cousins... dreaming of all the "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" I'll have to watch when I get back...

Yea, college will do that. It's such a wicked thing.

I'm heading out in a bit to see my family. Fun times ahead... [/sarcasm]

I'll just stay in with my parental units and gorge myself on mashed potatoes (or, as teh boyfriend says when he's feeling silly, "mooshified potate"), gravy, jellied cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie with whipped cream.

Then suck whipped cream out of the can over the following days.

Yes, I know it's bad for you.

No, I don't care.

Our big family feast will be on Saturday at a State Park, we rented a small building to have dinner in. But tonight we will have a dinner with just the 6 people in my family (me, brothers, sister, and parents).

On a slightly related note, am I the only one who hates the smell of turkey?

I don't know, sacrifice of a lamb, blood letting rituals, giant fires...
Oh, wait, that's my birthday. I'll probably just eat some random crap then go back to the internet.

No traveling for me this year. But my family and I are going to have thanksgiving dinner in a place around here pretty soon. I should probably get dressed into something nice.

Well, we had some people over to enjoy the ducks that we made because we couldn't find a turkey. On a somewhat unrelated note, it's apparently a sin that I consider my six-year-old cousin to be extremely annoying.

I'd be thankful to have a Thanksgiving.

Yeah, Thanksgiving has been postponed for tomorrow. Which won't even be a traditional Thanksgiving. We'll probably have it at some random fast food restaurant. :/
