Have you ever sat back and watched a show meant for the little kidlet set just to see how dumb it is? If so, tell us about your experience and some highlights of what made the show so lame.

I once took a look at Wonder Pets. Even with the sound on mute (thankfully), it was a painful, painful experience. That show is a disgrace to guinea pigs and ducklings everywhere. Nick Jr. should issue an apology to their respective communities.

You really shouldn't criticize shows that aren't for your age group, but hey, I loathe a lot of them, so....

One time I saw this "Go Baby" thing which was...disturbing. The baby cutouts were suprisingly realistic, and it got nasty when they started eating cake. They made disgusting sounds.....

Yeah, I hate Go Baby. It reminds me of something Strong Bad would hallucinate while on a soy sauce trip. ;) Of course, Barney ranks among the worst. But at least it isn't pagan like Teletubbies and Booba (I'm actually half-serious about that one).

... Excuse me, but I need to make a sig out of that.

I'd post something here so this post isn't spam, but the last time I was forced to watch a childrens show I kinda... enjoyed it. I must be weird.

Oh, it's spelled "Boohbah." They just added the extra "H"'s to cipher the fact that they are actually walking, talking boobs.

Oh dear. I'm going to have to take a picture with my mini Boohbah doll thing.
I love my Boohbahs.

Wonder Pets though, that's a different story.

I think Wonder Pets is cute. But that episode, iKi, was just weird.

How 'bout that one... With the girl... and the pink hair...

Oh yeah, that one.

We need a support group...now when ever I trip on acid, Go Baby is all I see....then I have the feeling my mind is disconnected from reality til the end of time...

I kinda like a couple kid's shows. I actually rather like Miss Spider. But I agree, a lot of kid's shows are really stupid nowadays. They used to be cool. Remember Rupert? The Nick Jr. one? That was awesome.

Blue's Clues really bites since they made that Blue's Room segment--heck, since Joe replaced Steve. Stever was a lovable looser, but Joe is just... no fun, man.

You know, some kids' shows are "cute" and all, but that doesn't mean they're good.
"AAAAAAUGH! MY SPLEEN JUST SPONTANEOUSLY JUMPED OUT OF MY BODY!"
"But it's such a cute spleen..."

In other news, I just had some celery before a good pee. The universe exploded.

BEST.

SHOW.

EVER.

Don't even TOUCH it, man. LazyTown ROCKS. Including the pink-haired girl. Who is called Stephanie. And who I am considering going as for Halloween next year.

I usually enjoy kids' shows a little when I watch them, but I don't have Nickelodean, so I'm probably missing out on a lot of idiotic kids' shows.

But I was watching Postman Pat recently, and those kids are eerily well behaved. I call them The Stepford Children.

One of the worst things about kidlet shows: The characters feel the urge to sing just about every ten seconds, and it's almost always about the stupidest things.

Yeah, I can kinda remember myself watching that show. A lot. I don't quite remember what it was about, though.

I dunno...I know a lot of great musicals that share that trait...

What gets me is the quality of the songs...

I saw a couple episodes of "Dora the Explorer".

Dora: That was a fun day! What was YOUR favorite part?

*silence*

Me: The part where I shot Boots in the head!

*silence*

Dora: I liked that part, too.

Yeah, I saw an episode of Dora two days ago. Whenever I see it, it makes me want to kill the nearest thing. Fortunately, that thing is usually my brother.

Stupid kidlet shows... ruined my life...

But seriously, I can't stand them, Barney and the Teletubbies are the epitome of evil.

Lazytown. scares. me. hoogod. and it's not a show and i'm going to catch heck for it, but HARRY POTTER falls in this category for me.
never has lifeless storyless prose been so popular with kids (okay i get with people in a certain age group) AND adults! i mean come on. and yes, the movies count for me, too. Rowling is hack. alright, now, bring it. TWUT.

I dunno. The intricacies of some of it are pretty intriguing. S'not all bad.

The first couple of Potters are kind of lacking in written ability, but they get a LOT better in the later books. Rowling is anything but a hack. If she was a hack, why is she richer than the queen?

Not yet, I don't think, but she IS the richest author ever.
