Wow, that's kinda disappointing. I always look forward to seeing who TIME will choose, and this one is just stupid. My mom's a little more outraged than I am, though.

Eh, no point in being upset... It IS just a magazine, after all..

My dad's take: "Dear God, the 'give every kid a trophy' people have gotten out of control".

Yeah, I suppose your right. It does feel kind of good to know that I am a TIME Person of the Year.

Actually, it does make some sense that they chose YOU. It's not about everyone being a winner. It's about how "normal" people have gained and still manage to gain media attention via sites like Youtube, Myspace etc, how pretty much everyone has the possibility to gain attention and make a difference.

On the other hand, there were plenty of other individuals they could've picked.

So, when do we get our trophies in the mail? I want to show it off next to my football MVP award.

I'm gonna tell my brother to put that on his resumes. And that will be going on all of my resumes.

At the same time, it does make a lot of sense. With the huge amounts of user created content on the web now, the general populous, i.e. "us" has had a huge influence this past year.

They shouldnt have said "You!" they should have said "Bloggers!" Because that defines what they say better.
What? Dude, blogging is only a part of the user-generated-content phenomenon.

I'd say it's more Andy Warhol.

But what about Jon Stewart? I mean, without Jon, Colbert would be a one household name.
Did Jon Stewart coin the term "Truthiness", a word which so much exemplifies our modern society?
Hey guys, don't fight! They both won!!!

...actually, I could see Colbert starting an episode with "I won TIME's Person of the Year!"

Out of the two, I could see that too. He'll be waving the American flag around while chanting it too.
