Well, I remember when Alberto made a sig that was way, way too big (memory size, nor pixel size) and it caused a bit of a slow down. So it's possible.

Compared to some of the stuff I have seen on Rules, that was nothing. I have seen someone with a 1000kb avatar. That's a 10MB avy, that is freaking huge.
