What games do people hate too much?

I actually thought Quest 64 was pretty good.

I know a very underrated game, Crystalis.

I could have been the rival of Zelda but Nintendo Power was too lazy to finish a walkthrough. Damn you Nintendo Power.

Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing is actually a solid game with great controls and intuitive gameplay. Plus, what greater joy is there than going backwards in a semi, with no cargo and floating taillights, at several billion miles per hour?

From the start, this excellent game delivers the goods. From the fast-paced start, Big Rigs oozes with

Who are you, and why are you at my keyboard?

I declare innocence.

Why does that badge on your shoulder say "Stellar Stone" on it?

I like stones and stars, and getting stones... and looking at stars...

Leave. Now.

Make me.

OK.
See what you've made me do? Now the keyboard's on fire, too. The on-screen keyboard is really freakin' inconvenient.

Armored Core games get a bad rep due to the difficulty level for new players.
But if you've played the series for a while there is not a more in-depth mech series on the market.

Wait, if it's a contest, you win, and if it's a contest you also win? I guess that means I lost.

Anyhoo: Fusion Frenzy 2. That game is pimpliciousing.

That was a lie. The truth is that that game can kill people just by having them look at it.

Diddy Kong Racing. A great racer, and yet people just seem to call it childish and refuse to play it. One of my personal favorites on the N64.

I agree.

Though, I was always disappointed because my AC always ended up being either a tank or a ninja. I'm not very versatile.

The Virtual Boy is the bastard son of Nintendo.
And I love the machine anyway.

Chibi-Robo is way underrated. In what other game do you get to sate a teddy bear addicted to nectar?

Any of those games you get in cereal boxes that everyone seems to hate.

The Donkey Kong Game Boy game based off the original arcade game. It's awesome, trust me.

YES. This gets my approval. Which means nothing.

Alien Hominid was very underrated. Hopefully Castle Crashers won't be like that.

That was my introduction to Videogames. Either that, or Super Mario 64.

100 levels of addictive puzzles that stumped me at some points. That gets my vote.

And I was, like, 5 , or 6 when I beat that. That's pretty good for me.

Ikaruga.

I haven't played it, but from what I know:

"It was a great game that went by unnoticed because people were too busy playing Madden sequels."

That was kinda in the words of Maddox.

If you haven't heard of it, I'm not surprised. Cause I didn't until a few weeks ago. I just know it was way underated.

Bomberman 64. And to a lesser extent, Bomberman 64: The Second Attack.

Back when Bomberman was awesome. And didn't have a girl's voice (Nintendo) or wasn't horrifically bad (Xbox).

Not enough people gave Urban Reign a shot...definitely a solid brawler, and very satisfying and cathartic to play once you get the hang of it.

Yep. Me too. I remember spending hours after school trying to get TT when I was thirteen. Then I got him, and barely used him because I was too used to the way Tiptup handles. Good times.

Also, the Neverhood was both an awesome game and my first fandom. It's like Myst in terms of gameplay, only with clay. Or klay, as the game called it.

I remember playing this Pacman-like game for the Super Nintendo a long time ago. I don't remember if it was underrated, or even if it was any good, I was just wondering if anybody knew what it was called. You played as a little dinosaur.

I approve of all of this post. No one cares about arcade games anymore. :(

Apparently people care even less about any game that isn't connected to a computer anymore, either. Note that this thread just says "Underrated Games"...NOT "Underrated Video Games." What about card games like poker, canasta, or even solitaire (despite them being able to be played on a computer)? What about Magic the Gathering (perhaps not underrated...and also now able to be played on a computer)? What about games like billiards, basketball, and football (despite them also having computer versions)? What about group games like Charades, Pictionary, Monopoly, or simple trivia games? I can assure you that many, many games existed long before the first video game.

Osheeee-

Somebody saying Alien Hominid reminds me that I need to get the console version because I suck at the Intarwebs version.

also makes me sad 'cause CC isn't on any form of PS.

Ikaruga is so freaking hard. I love it still.

And I think Custom Robo for Gamecube is really underrated. It can be a bit finicky but once you get into it its a great game with easy controls. And the difficulty doesnt disappoint. I want to buy Custom Robo Arena when I get a chance, too bad I cant rent it to see if its like the GC one.

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars was never cemented into the Video Game legacy as it should have been. It was brilliant, but has never been truly recognized as such.

It remains my #2 game of all time.

Maybe it's just because I'm the only on with a PS3, but that thing did not get enough attention.
