WARNING: MILD TO MODERATE (AND MAYBE MAJOR) SPOILERS IN THIS THREAD.

Admit it. You've been scared by a video game at least ONCE in your life. What scared you, and how much did it scare you?

Luigi's Mansion always gave me the creeps...especially since the ghosts would suddenly pop up...out of nowhere...with no warning whatsoever...When the blackout happened, I wanted to cry.

Super Paper Mario had one freaky moment that will remain in my memory for the rest of my life: when Mimi revealed her true form. It wasn't her actual form, but how she transformed into it. *shudders* Scary...I also hated the final boss. Clowns creep me out.

The game XIII when one of those friggin' Reds runs out at you from a corner and you have the handgun. Meanwhile, they have an M60. I scream.

also, the grand theft auto games always creep me out. Like In III, in the mission "Kingdom Come", where a bunch of suicide druggie bombers chase after you and scream like maniacs.

I never got past the first two minutes of (the original) Alone In The Dark. I'm still scared of that attic.

When I was 12 or 13 a friend and I played all the way through Phantasmagoria in the middle of the nightly. Image

Oh, yeah, I forgot about the ReDeads from the Wind Waker.

I had nightmares for a while.

Also, when you are just doing Halo II one-on-one at Lockout(the frozen towers place) and your opponent rages around the corner with a shotgun, blasting you away.

Dogs through the window in RE1.
All of silent hill.
Playing DooM II as a 9 year old, on the third level where if you fall you turn the corner and a chaingun guy pops up.

I have the original versions of wolfenstein and doom, shareware. The enemies suprise the crap outta me.

I'm fine with Luigi's Mansion, though. Beat it like seven+ times.

JK: DF II scared the crap out of me. In two levels they had this giant lizard creature and was fast as heck and only took two bites to kill you. In contrast it took several shots from the concussion rifle to kill(I didn't try with the lightsaber, I didn't feel like getting eaten.

Luigi's Mansion has startled me a few times. As has Haunted Mansion.

I haven't played Resident Evil for a long time, but I remember my friend and I were pretty creeped out at times when playing it.

One of my old friends refused to walk across Hyrule Field at night when playing ocarina of Time, he was afraid of the Stalchilds.

The ReDeads from Wind Waker from fine.

But the ones that were in Ocarina of Time (the first game in which they appeared) scared the living daylights out of me.

Especially because the first time you encountered them was in a near-pitch-black room. Yeah, walking down a dark hall and hearing high-pitched screams, then getting munched on...it wasn't cool.

Any encounter with fast headcrab zombies in Half-Life 2 scares the crap out of me. Especially in Ravenholm, which is creepy enough by itself.

Win. Both those games are creep-o-riffic if you're like 9. Which I was when I played them.

Good times with Alone in the Dark and it's polygonal 3-D technology. The shotgun ruled.

Halo 2, during the flood parts, particularly the level where the flood take over the Covenant base. Ugh.

When playing the original Dark Forces, I hated the 3rd level, the one with all the dianogas. I mean, creepy trash-eating octopuses are bad enough, but when you're lost in the sewer, it's dark, and you can't see them coming...

I really didn't like the Sea Monster thing in Fable; just when you think you've saved your mom, this big thing comes out of some hole in the ground and tries to kill you. :(

Or the Kell Dragons in the excavation level.

One question: Tuskens were an indigenous species to Tatooine. How in the world did they end up on Suulan? The developers should have gone with Weequay instead.

Never played any RE other than 4, but the Regenerators/Iron Maidens scare the crap outta me.

Eternal Darkness Sanities Requiem, where on one part it starts saving your game and then makes it seem like it's deleting your memory card. I just about unplugged the system.

Playing the Playstation demo classic MediEvil when I was five years old. I have the full game now and I'm still hesitant to play it because I hate dying in that game.

For those of you with an Xbox or an Xbox360, check out This game. Creeped me the hell outta my skin. Play it in low light with a surround sound. Scaaaaaaaary.
