No no no no no no. Get a Schecter HellRaiser V with the Floyd Rose and EMGs. Trust me, you'll like it ALOT better than a Schecter 7 string.

No. Everything that B.C. Rich makes SUCKS. All B.C. Rich is is just Looks, but no sound.

Trust me, BTG, Schecter Hellraiser.

Fix'D

EDIT:
Hay BTG, if and when you go to buy a guitar, make sure you go with someone that knows how to play. They'll (probably) stop you from buying crap and you can have them try out guitars you're thinking about buying so you can see how it sounds before you buy it.

There's also always Epi Les Pauls if you want a good guitar that's pretty inexpensive.

I can't afford a Hellraiser, the Omen is well within my range.

Why do you want a 7 string? Is this your first guitar?

I am a huge KoRn fan and I have loved the sound of a 7-string for years. I feel it has more of an edge to it.

Dewy wrote:

Yes. Granted it is most likely wiser to start out on a 6 string.

Yeah, a 7 string just adds a low note. It'd be easier to learn with just the 6 regular strings. Also, on a 7 string, the neck is much bigger, so it might be discouraging to learn on. Try a Damien 6.

Again,

COLA, I own 4 Schecters, and while the hellraisers are amazing guitars, they're just too expensive for a first guitar.

But its all he'll ever need.

Think about it, A Schecter Hellraiser, with the Floyd Rose, the EMGs, and the beauty of its design and sound. All he would need is an Amp and a Boss ME-50 and he'd be set for pretty much anything he'd ever want to do with a guitar.

EMGs aren't for everybody, neither are FRs. However, give me a Blackjack with a Wilkinson and Duncans, then we'll talk.

Duncans are the factory standard for most non-fender or Gibson guitars.

EMG's are the best. Trust me, try out any guitar with any set of EMGs, (81/85,81/89, etc), and tell me it doesn't sound like sex.

Cola, you just don't get it...*sigh* While I myself love EMGs, not everybody loves them.

There's a reason Duncans are the factory standard for many brands.

ALSO: Gibson uses Gibson pickups, not Duncans.

Duncans are factory standard for many brands only because they are cheap and a brand name. Consumers don't want a "Factory made alcino magnet single coil pickup," they want something with a name, so they choose Duncans.

And I know that you're saying that "Not all people like EMGs," but why wouldn't someone? They're sexy, sleek..Beautiful..They sound amazing... The bring the color and brightness out of the tone that your guitar naturally produces. Its like taking a part of the Sistine Chapel and packaging it for sale. Which also makes music.

Do you even have EMGs? If you do, I think its funny seeing as you're ranting and raving about the amazing tone they have, when the truth is, your tone sucks. Hate to be the bearer of bad news...

ALSO: Duncans aren't cheap. They're more expensive than DiMarzios, and me along with the good people of Harmony Central wouldn't appreciate you saying that we've wasted our money on our pickups. Again, there's a reason many people use Duncans.

Well durr my tone sucks, I use a freakin Line 6 digital modeler to record. But trust me, if you heard it through my freaking amp, oh ho ho, you'd be on the floor in a coma because you would have just got punched in the balls by the hardest and purest sound you would have ever heard!

And second, you and all of Harmony Central wasted your money on Duncans. Hell, I could crap out a better pickup than any Duncan you can offer up.

EDIT: Infact, because of this, I'm gonna go out and buy a pair of Duncan Blackouts, and record me crapping on them. Then you know what? I'm gonna crap in the box too, and mail them to you.

Hey guys, I just broke the high E on my Ibanez RG.
The bridge is Ibanez, Floyd Rose style, like this.
Image
How would I go about restringing it?

First off, What do you mean you broke the High E string? As in it snapped?

Second, thats not a Floyd Rose style bridge, see? Its lacking the tune locks.

I didn't think they needed tuning locks but awwrighty.
No, the high e popped out completely, the bottom of the string stayed in the bridge.
Basically, I snapped it really, really low...
