I took Spanish in grades eight through ten, then last year I switched to Latin because I realized that I learned next to nothing in Spanish III that I hadn't learned in Spanish II and it'd probably be a good idea to know some Latin since I plan on being a doctor. Unfortunately, I couldn't fit Latin II on my schedule for this year. I also have a book for teaching yourself Swahili that I've been meaning to read, if only to see if there are things that I assume are universal that are specific to Indo-European languages.
