It was just before dawn one miserable morning
in black forty-four
when the forward commander was told to sit tight
when asked that his men be withdrawn
And the generals gave thanks as the other ranks
held back the enemy tanks - for a while
And then the Anzio beachhead was held for the price
of a few hundred ordinary lives

And kind old King George sent mother a note
when he heard that father was gone
It was, I recall, in the form of a scroll
with golden leaf and all
And I found it one day in a drawer of old
photographs hidden away
And my eyes still grow damp to remember
His Majesty signed with his own rubber stamp

It was dark all around
There was frost in the ground
When the tigers broke free
And noone survived from the Royal Fusiliers Company C
They were all left behind
Most of them dead
The rest of them dying
And that's how the High Command took my Daddy from me

I have noticed a few odd things going on as of late(such as the last post disappearing and my post count dropping from 400 to 40), but this takes the cake.

My theory is that Modestly Hot Girl is pulling an epic prank that the Mods and Admins are in on. I'm not sure what's causing the lag, but my guess is that the threads are being moved to a Secret Moderator or Administration sub-forum invisible to the rest of us.

Does anyone else have any ideas?

Well, I must say, this royally sucks. All of the Getting to Know You and Arts and Crafts topics are gone for me (including my forumfics and Douglas' forumfic...which I was using as inspiration for my next one), as well as many of the topics in Off Subject. If there is no backup to this, I guess it's like starting a new page in a weird novel.

Of course, this'll somehow be included in future forumfics by me, but I find this ridiculous.

Epic prank? Not at all. Seriously.

Not cool if it was.

There are no backups. We just had new Admins, why would they bless us with a backup when they just gave us admins?

When you see a mod yelling, you really know something bad happened that was out of their control.

Those aren't friendly letters, but at least they're large.
So, uber-hacker-admin-gone-mad perhaps? C'mon, I need an explanation before I sleep.

That's right, people! This is not the end! We're going to rebuild!

Post Random Stuff Here. Anything that pops up.

But please, if there's already a thread for it, please post there instead.

We mods have no idea what happened. We know just as much as you do.

You know, only the boards that MHG moderated seem to have been affected.

We must pray to Stu, the Sun God, in his Backyard Temple! Of course, I don't know any Sun God prayers, so let's just tan under his powerful sun rays as a begging for hope.

Oh, and I'm going to throw this out there to those who I didn't tell on MSN:

I think that Modestly Hot Girl's account got hacked out of all things. Normally, even if this were a prank, she would've replied to my PM about welcoming her back (as she's replied to every PM of mine in the past in a quick manner). Also, wherever the topics were being deleted from had MHG being the only active mod viewing the board. As someone brought up to me on AIM, the boards that were being deleted from were the main ones that she moderated, as well.

If this is a prank for something like PwnDay, then I commend the admins and mods (but wonder why they didn't let me in on the secret; Teff did to users last year ;)). If not, then crap.

EDIT: Well, the copy+pasting this post to the new topic put me a little behind the pack in terms of conversation. Ah well.

REBUILD!

BUT NEVER FORGET WHAT WE HAVE WORKED FOR IN THE PAST!

[s]I HACKED MHG'S ACCOUNT![/s] THIS IS SARCASM!
