for the record mother 3 is one of the best RPGs I have ever played and I doubt I could ever enjoy EarthBound after seeing the absolute best of this series

He's wrong.

I mean, about it being boring. It's not. They actually DID make an Auto Fight button though. (Spoiler: IT DOESN'T WORK.)

But seriously, if you want boring, try Mother 1. As far as I can tell from video playthroughs, anything actually happening is punctuated by like two hours of nothing happening.
