I think I can make it work.

I can buy my dad his Father's Day gift and get a music CD for myself and still have enough money to purchase Mother off of eBay.

All I have to do is put the two objects in the Deep Discount's 20% off bag, and hope that my mom accepts some change as legal tender.

Emulators aren't as good as the real thing, although they work. you aren't getting the full experience of being able to see the console and the TV, plus you can't feel the controller in your hand.

Sure you can; get a console controller to USB adapter. And I personally don't get any kicks out of saying, "look right there I am playing a NES isn't it cool to look at a console"

I With a ROM you can say "I can play Mother anywhere, anytime, AND I can understand it because it's not in Japanese. Plus, I didn't have to spend $100 to buy the game and $30 to buy the system!"

Kinda funny. My 360 broke after 2-3 years whereas my SNES still works flawlessly (albiet with some case yellowing) after 10 years.

I hate reading this. The 360/PS3/Wii is far more complicated than an SNES. If you've got a simple machine, there's little chance it'll break. However, if you've got a bunch of simple machines working together to create a larger machine, it's kinda hard to make sure they all work correctly.
