Well, with information like that, you could say he did use steroids.

But do they really make you a better ball player? Before he had even 750, he popped and grounded out on numerous occasions. In fact, the last 10 home runs before 756, I watched him every night, and I'd say he looked like every other power hitter in the league.

Maybe he did use steroids. But can we say he hit 756 home runs just because of them?

"My only message is simple. The National League needs to join the 21st century," Hank Steinbrenner said in Tampa, Fla. "They need to grow up and join the 21st century.

"Am I [mad] about it? Yes," Steinbrenner added. "I've got my pitchers running the bases, and one of them gets hurt. He's going to be out. I don't like that, and it's about time they address it. That was a rule from the 1800s."

A true Steinbrenner, isn't he?

BAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWW is right.

Guess what, if it were the AL, that could've just as easily been your DH, Hideki Matsui. An NL team could just as easily complain if that happened in an interleague game.

Well, steroids don't help with your aim, only power. And I remember all those times he got jammed and 'popped up'... and many of those pop-ups still found their way over the fence.

But he's almost 44...

Yeah... Without steroids, I think he would've gotten 500, maybe 600 if he stayed healthy. Around 1999-2000, he would've gradually declined as he passed his prime. Instead, he got a ton better and had another 'prime' in his late 30s.

He's just mad because the Yankees suck this year.

Seattle finally took a positive step by canning that sorry excuse of a GM, Bill Bavasi. Hopefully the next GM makes moves that help the team. Getting rid of Sexson would be a big help.

I must say I did not really notice that Dice-K was out this whole time. I mean, I noticed when he went down, but Masterson and Colon really stepped up and filled the role nicely (their last losses notwithstanding). I'll be sad to see Masterson go when Dice-K comes back.

I'm really looking forward to the day Masterson gets a regular job in the rotation. That kid's got a bright future.

I feel sorry for whoever missed Rice and LSU. Rice gave a lesson in how to lose a big game.

I stopped caring for college sports after Syracuse won the lacrosse National Title. I won't start caring again until Notre Dame kicks off.

LDP

Well more heads are rolling in Seattle, Manager John McClaren just got canned. Bring back Hargrove! If Seattle had him down the stretch last year, they would have been in the playoffs.

Harden to the Cubs.

That came from no where and, if Harden stays healthy, there is no one who will be able to stop the Cubs from taking the NL Central.

Wow, the A's have really bad management. They've made some pretty crappy trades, but this is a move that might hurt them just a little.

Wtf? The A's are only like 3 games out of the Wild Card. Why in the world would they trade one of their best pitchers for some no names?

Because that's the way the A's have always been. They trade away their big time talent and still manage to win with no names.

Also, it doesn't matter who they have, the A's have always been a second-half team. Just wait for it.

They also haven't won a pennant since 1990.

Means nothing if you can't win the WS. Just as the Cubs and the Red Sox.

Dang, who's that, the D-Rays? (Errr, Rays?)

Should an 88 year drought be forgotten? The White Sox had one... :D
I always figured no one cared about their drought because the Cubs and Red Sox had real curses, and the White Sox probably could've had the WS in 1919.

No, Seattle. They've knocked on the door a couple of times, but no one answered.

San Fran isn't much better. They haven't won a World Series since 1954. That is 23 years before Seattle came into existence.

Yes, but they've had more WS appearances since then, including one this decade.

Historically, San Francisco is better than Seattle.

It's easy to be historically better when you been around for 124 years.
