The game shows that anything with the name "Mario" in it is probably going to sell units. Oh, and it also shows that Gamecube graphics are gracing the Wii still.

I have started to shy away from most games that are spinoffs of the regular Mario games.
Mario Kart? Excellent.
Mario Party? Pretty good...for the first three times. Nintendo needs to change the game enough to warrant a purchase of a new one every year.
Mario Tennis? Eh...okay.
Mario Golf? Uh...
Mario Strikers? Wait a second...
Mario Baseball? ...
Mario Pinball? >_<

If this game had Mario and Sonic characters replaced with, say, regular Olympic 'folk, then not only would nobody care about this game, but the critics would probably knock the game down a couple notches for their scores.

Part of my hate for the game comes from the fact that it's first time Mario and Sonic are together in a game...and it's in the Olympics. I pray that Mario and Sonic will be together in a more epic game, like Super Smash Bros, or even an adventure game reminiscent of Mario Galaxy that seems more elaborate and detailed. This game just seems to be there solely for making some quick money.

Oh, and Sonic better have some lead shoes in that screenshot...

There might be judo and fencing, you know, for fighting and stuff.

It would be cool to have a more epic Mario and Sonic crossover. Like Mario and Sonic switch worlds and have to fight each others baddies to get an Emerald/Power Star in order to get back home.

That would be cool.

At least it isn't some lame fighting game. That would have been a lot worse. Some kinda actual world crossover instead of a buncha sports would be a better move.

This game so far has no potential, there will obviously be a huge balance issue, unless they screw it up and make Sonic run as fast as Wario, and Peach have as much upper body strength as DK.

But how is that fun?! If you are doing a race, of course who ever picked Sonic will win.
At least in most other games the stats are just slightly off, so it isn't so one-sided.

And people like Peach, Toad, and Waluigi who can absolutely do nothing are going to always be left out in the cold.
