Or in a movie. I got sick during at the movie theater a couple of days ago. I thought I'd see if I got better, but it got worse. So I got up and jogged to the bathroom, holding back vomit.

I finally got to the stall and chucked it out.

Luckily, there were some water fountains nearby, and my friend had some Starbuck After-Coffee Mints.

Yippee. :coachz:

Peeve - people throwing up in public.
Like in my restaurant.
All over the floor.
Coz they drank too much beer and can't hold their alcohol.

Ugh.

The NL West is a mystery to me. The Dodgers, D' Backs and Padres seemed to be playing so well when the season was a few weeks old, and now they've gone south. How pathetic is it the Rockies actually have the BEST record of NL West teams since early June??

Colorado's still in the bottom of the NL West, with a .356 PCT. Funny, Arizona & San Diego's PCTs are both .486 right now.

How bout them Phightin' Phils? Eh? They're gonna win the wildcard. If they don't, then that will be my pet peeve: being a fan of a bad team!

^Good for them. The Rockies will once again win for being the Highest Altitude Team: One mile above sea level.

You may know that today was my birthday (technically yesterday, since it's 1:30 in the morning now)

Pet peeve: When you go to a restaurant for your birthday and they sing you a crappy birthday song to the tune of a different song. At least you get free cake. There's no way I was going to share it with my family after they made me go through that torture.

When we sing Happy Bday to people at work we sing the normal song.
One time one of the girls convinced everyone (except me) to song "Opera Happy Birthday".
It sounded ridiculous.

Pet Peeve: When all the good Brisbane Lions Players start retiring and that means that we start losing matches.

At least we still got Johno Brown, Voss, and Jason "The King" Akermanis.

EXACTLY'D!! Though it still happens with cousin-types. Alas.

Today's peeve: bruises. Mine never seem to fade very fast, either. Ouch.

Ugh, try supporting Port Power, last years premiers, who can't win a game away from home.
And are ahead by 40 or so points at half time and manage to find a way to get beaten....

Yarrgh.

Oh man. Which team did they get beaten by? Melbourne?

2 good shows on at once and you can't decide which one to watch.

You know, sometimes I'll get a bruise and not know where it came from.

Did you know that the actual tune of Happy Birthday is copyrighted? That's why most restaurants don't sing it and make up their own song. You can sing it to your friends at private parties (ie - where no one is technically supposed to make any money off it) but you can't sing it in a place like a restaurant.

EDIT: Peeve: having a cough. *coughs*

Really? Huh. I didn't know that. I thought it was like Christmas Carols. (I know those are copyrighted too)

You know what sucks? Getting hit with a baseball. I don't mean being the batter and getting ht, I mean being the pitcher and having one come right back at ya. I got hit right where my left leg meets my waist. There's a huge bruise there, with a crap-load of pain......yarr....ow......

Hehehe, I was there for that, it was funny. I know that sounds mean but, as the saying goes, it's always funny until someone gets hurt, then it is just hilarious.

Dag. Sounds like poor Matt Clement, who got hit in the head. Luckily, he was okay, as I hope you are.

I hate getting hit with a beseball. One time, I got smacked right in the face off a batted ball. It killed.

I quit baseball a long time ago.

Yeah....that would be bad. Kinda reminds me of a date I had a while back, when we were playing pool and the cue ball she hit flew off he tble and almost hit me......well, you get the idea.

It wasn't Bronson Arroyo, it was Matt Clement.
I know what it is like to be hit by a baseball. In one season of Junior Baseball, I was hit by a pitch 13 times. I also broke my right hand when I barehanded a line drive.

Let me tell ya, being hit by a pitch and hit my a ball comming off a bat are two totally different things. And let me tell you, that was one hard hit ball. I had no chance to dodge it. I was spun around a couple times by it before I fell.......dizzy.....

Faith No More!!!

Peeve: Having to leave open mic night too early because the friend that drove us there had to go to work early the next day. That was mainly unfortunate because that interrupted an encounter I had with a fairly hot singer who actually told me one of my songs rocked the house, and she actually gave me props while on stage herself. Ah well - it was still a ridiculously fun time last night. I was actually as loose as I am in chat playing up there, even when I screwed up a few times, and that's saying a ton for me. :)
