That reminds me. In our putred town called Rexburg, and new dollar store opened. On opening week, they had a massive sign that said, "Opening Sale"! I go in and find everything is 99 cents instead of a dollar! What a way to ruin a guy's dream. My dream= Half off sale at the dollar store.

How about putting them under the first letter the next word starts with?
Eg, Killers, The.
White Stripes, The.
Strokes, The

Wa-ho, that is funny.

Although you have to admit, you can't really have a sale at the dollar store.

It's like auto alphabatized. Erk, I spelt that all wrong.

Peeve 1 - Waterproof mascara. Good idea in theory, not so good in practice if you're trying to get it off in the shower.

Peeve 2 - University phone lines being busy, so I can't get through, and it's kinda important that I talk to them!!

Peeve 3 - Having 5000 people come into town at once. It's a huge population influx around here, and they just sit at my work and drink and be loud. I can't say anything too bad about them, because they are from where most of you guys are from and in the military. So either way, I'd be shot dead!

Peeve: Saving up money.

Okay, I know it's good in the longrun, but while your still saving up money, it's really hard to actually "save up." I'll always find myself buying something else, even when I know how bad I want the thing I am saving for. I want that laptop so bad!!

Or better yet, a CD account. You put X amount of money in it for Y amount of year(s), usually with an interest rate slightly higher then a regular savings account. The CD account cannot be touched either.

Hmm. You wouldn't like me, then. I don't have a credit card, but I use my debit/check card everywhere. I very rarely carry cash.

But it's been my experience that it doesn't take me any longer to get my card through the system than it takes the average cashier to count my change.

(Also, some places, like Target, let you swipe your card while the cashier is still scanning your items, which is a nice time-saver.)

I'm in the same boat as Jonesy here. I use my check card for EVERYTHING.. I almost never carry cash, either. There's really, rarely ever a need for cash. Unless you're in my hometown, the local busineses just recently started accepting plastic. Even Wendy's and Subway didn't take it until about 3 weeks or so ago.

About the only thing I carry cash for is tipping in restaraunts.. I never put a tip on the reciept. Taxing waiters/waitresses for tips (something paid for good service) is total bull poopie. I've always felt that way.

Yeah, most people either misspell (Ean, Ein, etc.) or mispronounce my name (EYE-in.) It's IAN, people! Scots Gaelic: EE-in! ARGLE-BARGEL-BABBLE!

People always spell my name wrong, too. People always spell it Bryan. Ugh. I mean, I know that Bryan is another way to spell the name, and they probably don't know, but it still bugs me so much.

A lot of people spell my first name wrong, too, which is weird. I mean, it's spelled the same as the country and arguably the most famous basketball player ever. NOT THAT DIFFICULT.

Oh, and then when I tell people my last name and they always ask how to spell it. I bet I've uttered the phrase "just like it sounds" (or variations thereof) at least 5,000 times. It's spelled just like the verb! Gragh!

I have one that tops that. My last name. Lake. Pretty easy to spell, right? Yet I'm always asked "How do you spell that?" I mean come on. sometimes the easiest solutons are the best ones.....yarr.....

I sympathize with you guys. People are always spelling (or saying) my name wrong.

Another one: When people say "from whence."

"Whence" means "from where"! You're saying "from from where"! Gah!

Then again, Shakespeare even wrote "from whence," so I should probably just take my gripes and go back whence I came.

I have lots of grammar peeves that a lot of people wouldn't think twice about. Like when people use "i.e." to say "for example." i.e. and e.g. aren't interchangeable!

Ugh. I used to go around barefoot all the time, but then I stopped, because I realized I had gotten about a million stubbed toes. I hate those blasted things.

Guilty as charged. I've used i.e. so many times in place of 'for example' in print before I realized it was wrong. Whoops.

No, it's just I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

And don't take the time to explain. I don't care.

My pet-peeve is when things break. Last night I leaned back too far in my chair, my favorite chair, and one of the wheels came off, and with it, came half of a leg. Great.
