Ok, how am I being hypocritical?

You're talking about how people are stupid because they aren't tolerant, then you're saying you don't want to tolerate those people.

Intolerance is intolerance.
I agree, it's stupid, and they are too, probably, but they still have a right to exist.
That's part of freedom of speech, the part people often forget; You have to put up with the stupid crap other people say.

No offense, but this is the nature of a forum. If you don't like people trying to change your opinions, or telling you you're wrong, maybe you should find a forum where people all agree with you, or maybe just stay away from the internet (and no, I'm not trying to run you off. I'm just saying that part of the internet is getting your feelings hurt)

I'm gonna say what I've said to a lot nof people who get mad at the forum: If you think we're bad, don't go on the internet. Seriously, every other forum I've been to have crazy people, flame wars, and things like that. We're lucky enought o have mods and admins who take care of things like that.

Now, you're being a hypacrite. You're saying you're annoyed that people want to change your opinions, while you're tryign to change theirs. That's the hypacritical part of this subject.

He was not comparing you to those people, he was saying you're doing the same thing as them :being intolerant. In a different way, yes, but you were still being intolerant.

I don't think anyone wants you to leave khan, but you have the choice to.

My three cents (I found a penny earlier)

when I came to this forum SR, I thought that I could make friends(cause I have no friends in florida), but it seems cause of My opinions that people are more annoyed by Me than anything else, so thats the reason I'm leaving.

We're arguing with your opinions. An argument isn't always bad, it's in a lot of cases a good thing.

Like I said, good luck finding a forum where people won't argue with your opinions, except those ones that dont argue, but instead flame you because of your opinions.

Ju ju, the only reason I'm angery is that I thought out of all the forums this one I would fit in with, but it seems that I was wrong.

If you're leaving, go already. Don't stay for pity, because you're surely not getting any with that attitude.

Peeve: My science teacher. She doesn't really teach (as in, she makes us read the chapter, then gives us a sheet on it.) Some days, I only hear her say two or three words. And just the other day, she gave us a 111-question study guide for a test that was the next day. One night to study 111 questions.

And the test turned out to be 30 questions.

I had a geometry teacher like that. She never taught ANYTHING, you went into the classroom, handed in the previous night's homework, then started on that day's assignment. When class was over, you handed in the assignment. Then, that night, you did the homework.
If you had a question, she acted like she was going out of her way to help you.
We learned more on days we had substitutes than we did on days when she was there.

The reason for the 30 questions out of 100+ on the study guide is so that teachers make sure you learn the material, not the test. At home, they pretty much gave us the test as a study guide.
I venture to guess that's why the schools in Nashville do better on accountability testing than they do in Eastern Kentucky.

My satellite book is my peeve of the moment. The section on cloud detection doesn't actually say anything about the various schemes one can use. That's bad because one of the questions at the end of the chapter says "using any cloud detection scheme of your choice, remove cloudy pixels from the following image".
Actually, the book is like that for a lot of things. It never really goes into detail about how to do things. It just says to do them. Why did I expect it to? It only cost me $85.
I could write a better textbook than this one.. I pretty much already have with my weekly projects for that class.

Are you serious? I'd KILL to get up around 7:10 again. I haven't woken up later than 5:30 on a school day since High School started.

But yeah, waking up early is a peeve o' mine. I like to sleep.

Well, he siadc his bus comes at 7:10, but then he'd still probably get up around 6:XX. I wake up at 6:55, which is early for me comparing to the last 8 years.

I find it really irritating when people don't do their dishes, or when they generally don't clean up after themselves. I can't stand having a messy house. My roomies are the worst.

I also hate PDA's.

You would have hated my last roommates.. They couldn't grasp the simple concept of "put the dishes into the dishwasher"... It was sad, like, I'd got to the dishwasher, and it'd be empty, and dishes would be piled up in the sink.
They said I was over-reacting when I asked one of them to help me with the dishes, but God forbid one of my hairs should be on the couch...

Peeve: the office dullard. Yep, like yer man from that sbemail, I gots me one of these. And she's one of those makes-pointless-conversation and oversmiles-and-is-overpolite-to-a-creepy-level kind of office dullard. I do try to nice, and above all patient, with her. But her dullard habits can be very, very annoying. Example......

[WHF plugs scanner into computer]
Dullard: [oversmiling creepily] Are you doing some scanning then?
WHF: Yes.
Dullard: [still oversmiling] Oh right.
[Discussion hits brick wall]

You woulda loved (by which I mean hated) my high school. There was this one hallway I had to go through on the way to the gym for PE. My locker was on one side of the hallway, on the other side: The PDA wall.. I kid you not, the entire length of the hallway was nothing but PDA.. We had names for all of the couples, too. "Hand in pants" couple , "That's easier without clothes" couple, and "How can you breathe?!?" couple are names that immediately come to mind.
As you can see, we chose to make fun of them rather than be grossed out. It was so much more fun.

D'gah. I have to write an sequel to Beowulf for my English class. It only has to be 25 lines minimum, but I'm not sure where to begin. I hate writing. Ever wonder why I'm like the only person without a fanfic? That's why.

Wait, do you have to write a sequel to just the first part (i.e. Grendel), or to the whole saga? If the latter...

*spoilers, if anyone out there plans on reading it for your their enjoyment*

Quote:
Well, I hope they don't expect it the sequel to be a sequel in terms of having the same hero (I mean, it's only 'Beowulf' because it's got a guy named Beowulf, right?). XD I can imagine it now... Beowulf 2: Butt-Kicking From Beyond!

It's supposed to be about the king who comes after Beowulf and the heroic crap he does, with a minimum of five kennings and a brief recap of the original story. And it has to be 25 lines at least.

We read the whole thing. I feel bad for Beowulf at the end, there...
