93 and 96 were fun!

Anyway, what's not fun is when my roommate has his girlfriend over every night and they play rap unti 4:20 in the morning when I have to wake up at 4:50 for PT...like today!

I remember the Ice Storm of... '99, I think. It was icy. And cold.

I hate ice, too.

Last year or the year before, we in Northern NJ got a blizzard. It was the coolest thing ever. When they plowed the street, the snow piled up so high on the sidewalk that I tunneled into it and made a little house. And I was in 4th or 5th grade.

Fun about snow= playing with it.
No fun about snow= coldness (especially the Down Your Pants kind) and having to walk uphill in 2 feet of it with grocery bags at least as heavy as you are.

In conclusion, stay inside and play computer.

Peeve: Not knowing when I'm starting to get sick of a song. It's just, "WHAM! I'm sick of this." And then my favorite song will suck.

Doesn't a lot of Australia lie in the Southern Temperate Zone? I thought so, anyway.

A lot of it does, actually.

Well, I live in Brisbane which is on the far east side of Australia. And for some reason, the whole state of Queensland doesn't get any, as far as I know.

1 more thing: Parts of Queensland had HAIL yesterday. About the size of a small rock. We're getting the WORST drought in recorded history, so we've been getting storms once so often every day. Big ones, at that.

Peeve: Chatting with real-life friends on AIM. They can get a little annoying, and by a little annoying, I mean a lot annoying. Exasperation:

Quote:
[19:00] Guy: i am bord
[19:00] Me: I'm a board too.
[19:01] Guy: anything to do
[19:01] Me: Hm...
[19:01] Me: Well, I found a cool site called Pandora.com.
[19:01] Me: You type in a song or band or singer that you like, and they find you music that's like it.
[19:02] Guy: no i mean games
[19:02] Me: Oh. No.
[19:02] Me: I don't do games much.
[19:02] Me: And by not much I mean not at all.
[19:02] Guy: sigh
[19:04] Guy: want to find somethind to do
[19:04] Me: Nope. I already have something to do.
[19:04] Guy: what
[19:04] Me: http://forum.hrwiki.org/index.php
[19:05] Guy: what is that
[19:05] Me: It's a forum.
[19:05] Me: Duh.
[19:05] Guy: what is a forum?
[19:05] Me: O_O
[19:06] Me: You're telling me you don't know what a forum is.
[19:06] Guy: nope
[19:06] Me: Okay. Let me go take some medicine, and I'll be right back.
[19:06] Guy: huh
[19:06] Me: A forum is a place where people chat. But it's not just casual chatting. You type out your words, and you have discussions.
[19:06] Guy: so
[19:07] Me: It's way more fun than, say, chat rooms, or IMing. You can talk to a bunch of people at the same time who like the same thing as you do.
[19:07] Me: Me, I like Homestar Runner, which is an internet cartoon. So, this forum is based on Homestar Runner. Join, and you can talk in peace whenever you want.
[19:07] Guy: and i care why
[19:07] Me: Because you asked.
[19:08] Guy: no why do i care about joining this thing
[19:08] Me: I'm not telling you to join. But there are other forums you could join.
[19:09] Me: Like, there are forums for video games, and bands, and... there's a forum for pretty much everything.
[19:09] Me: It's really fun.
[19:09] Guy: ok
[19:09] Guy: if you say so
[19:09] Me: Yep/
[19:09] Me: Do you have a blog?
[19:09] Guy: no
[19:10] Me: Oh.
[19:10] Guy: i an not joining anyway
[19:10] Me: That's fine.
[19:10] Guy: ok
[19:11] Me: Soooooooooooo, how's school?
[19:11] Guy: BORINGGGGG
[19:11] Me: How are your friends?
[19:11] Me: What's going on socially?
[19:11] Me: Do you like pie?
[19:12] Me: What is the meaning of life?
[19:12] Me: How much is 47 and 14?
[19:12] Me: Have you ever kissed a llama?
[19:12] Guy: STOP
[19:12] Me: ... Fine.
[19:12] Guy: no

Some of my Pet peeves are my so called friends, I'll go by thier "Comic Book names" as I call'em, Greg, and Tiger. first lets talk about Greg, This guy has a split personality, one side is nice and stuff but thhe other side annoys the crap out of me, and hits me and complains about me randomly saying Your Mom and That's what she said for no reason.
Enough of that what kinda miffs me is Tiger. He still thinks that, lets call her by her comic name too, Tywan likes him. but shes going with me so he argues about it all the time and he and Greg double team me at recss when i'm around Tywan. annoying as heck

You get recess?

A peeve of mine is my best friend, (READ: FoNT) he acts all diffrent in school. Like...angsty...and teenish....tangstish. And he gets mad at me for making jokes that are so bad they make people laugh. He also denies any relation to me which is odd.

Sounds like me.

Pet peeve for today: Not having any good bands doing concerts around were I live. Like, sure the Rolling stones were pretty cool to see, but otherwise the best thing we've had here is O-town. And those guys suck.

Here's another language peeve: People who say "backslash" when referring to a regular slash. This drives me crazy because people seem to only do it when referring to its use on a computer. If you were to write "fish and/or chips" on a piece of paper and point to the "/" and asked them to identify it, they would call it a slash. But if you wrote "http://hrwiki.org/" and pointed to one of the slashes--the exact same character--they'd call it a backslash. They've been writing regular slashes their entire lives and identifying them correctly, yet when you put it on a computer, it's like they get amnesia. Grah.

My MSN was doing that this morning. It was down for half an hour. I was none too impressed. It's irritating when their system goes down, for whatever reason. I know it's not my connection, because I can browse the web like nobodies business.

Definetly annoying.

Here's a peeve: K3b eating my discs.

I only had 2 blanks left and I was trying to make a backup disc, but it only burned 1 MB or so before rejecting it! :sm: :sm: :sm:

Peeve: Rammstein released a new album back in Novemeber, but I can't find it anywhere. I've looked in Best Buy, FYE, Border's, Barnes & Noble. I have looked in every music store in my area and it is nowhere to be found.

Weird - I swear I've heard someone say that before. Oddly enough, that album is in the music shop in my local town - which is saying something, 'cos that shop usually never has NUTTIN' good at all.

I'd expect Europe would have it. I'm just suprised that I can't find it in the US. Rammstein has a good sized following here. We are one of the primary reasons they are the greatest selling band in Germany.

A while ago, I was driving around and found myself behind a Delorean. Not just any Delorean, but a Delorean that somebody painted. Red. I just about flipped my lid. That person doesn't deserve to own a Delorean....

You know what's really annoying? Stupid customers, especailly the ones that are drunk. I had a guy come into my place last Friday to order his food. After I handed him his food and cashed him out, I saw him walk over and take a couple of salads and just walk out, without paying for them. So I had to go outside to catch him, in the cold, with no jacket. He allready had dropped the salads over the ground when he got to his car. When I told him that he didn't pay for the salads, he started to yell and scream at me for accusing him for stealing. He eventually came inside and payed for what he took, not before getting in my face and yelling at me. Now, like I stated earlier, he was quite obviously drunk, and I knew that he could suddenly get violent, so I had that playing in my mind. Eventually he left and drove off. I'm hoping that he got arrested for DWI, it would serve him right.

You should have gotten his licence plate number and alerted the 5-0, he would have gotten a DUI and probably arrested for stealing food from your store.

Oh, we get people that are a wee bit tipsy more than we would like to. I can smell the alcohol on their breath from feet away. It's quite disgusting. As for what you said Tor, I should have, I know. But it was quite cold out, with strong wind. I was freezing out there. and it was snowing like crazy, so that was not making it any easier.

Recurring peeve: Coming home from an AWESOME open mic night to watch videotape of the Eagles embarassing themselves on Monday Night Football. I mean... wow... there are no words for that game against Seattle. UGLY. :poop:

Also related: How much better Mondays are than the entire rest of my week, during which I have these spurts where I'm unbelievably down on life. I think the old cliche about how Mondays suck is turned completely on its' head when applied to me - Garfield would probably be speechless. :p

Santa The Grave: They have not announced the relased date yet, but they do have a new video out (I saw it, it was great, I can get you a link if you want, PM me.) I am just glad I had a friend in Europe mail it to me. It cost a bit, but it was worth it. I would just see about ordering it if i were you.

As far as fanbases go, Mexico has a HUGE Rammstein following. I read a news report that people almost rioted when they ran out of tickets for a concert.

Racer X is Alive: I've seen that too... blasphemy!

~My Pet Peeves in No Particular Order~ Version .02 Abridged
1: People who try and say Good Charlotte & Blink 182 are punk and Marilyn Manson is goth (for the last time, they AREN'T).
2: People who drive 10 mph under the speedlimit (it happens a lot where I am.)
3: Getting mostly dust in your cereal bowl in the morning.
4: Finding only one cigarette in the pack in the morning.
5: Only being able to find a 1 hour parking spot when I have a 2 hour class.
6: My back injury from the car accident I was in. The x-ray is friggin cool, though.
7: Conservatives. Enough said.
8: Police officers who give me "the eye" when I'm driving and not breaking any laws.
9: People who can't give legitmate reasoning behind their stances on things.
10: Censorship.
11: Having to advance into an incredibly high math class to even declare my major although I can already compose and transpose music.
12: Bigots

Crappy. Untalented. Worthless.
umm, how's that?

Singing through your nose does not make you a punk band.
Listen to the Misfits or Ramones if you want real punk music.

I think it's funny that he said he hates conservatives, then hates bigots.. By definition, hating someone of a certain race, creed, religion, gender, political affiliation, etc. makes him a bigot.. Does he hate himself?

Anyway, I REALLY hate when I'm cruisin along and the person in front of me sees a cop and drops from 5 over the speed limit to 25 below it without warning. Here's a hint. When they see your brakelights, it's kinda saying "pull me over, I was speeding and I hope I slowed down before you realized it."
