topofsm wrote: Arggh! People don't understand metal! They think it's a bunch of screaming, "Satan is the <Censored> god! Worship him" among a bunch of heavy crunching guitar noises with nothing but double bass pedals through the whole song. The DJ at our school (a teacher who plays music on Fridays) played Master of Puppets by Metallica, and this friend of mine said that it sucked. I knew her from church and all, but metal isn't all that bad sometimes. Metallica doesn't even have any satanic songs.
Well, this depends on what kind of metal you listen to. Good old Metallica, Black Sabbath, Judas priest, and others will not give you that. Some artists, Like Slipknot, Soilwork, Ect, ect, will employ death grunts. These don't have a lot of melody, but it blends in well enough, and the guitar and drumming is amazing on a lot of it. I mean, Rammstein is metal and it has no screaming and amazing instruments. Even the songs with death grunts are intelligable and the lyrics are a lot more then just "DEATH, DEATH, SATAN, DEATH". You have to listen to a lot of metal before you can have an accurate opionon of it. |

Another pet peeve: When something has to use big words to explain things. I know it was funny, I was laughing when it happened. And I often use big words, but ones that aren't so big that no one understands them. My peeve: crappy internet. (Sorry, I was talking to iKipapa, but I didn't want to quote. (Don't I feel like a jerk now.)) Don't feel bad, in reality, every single person I said that to laughed their heads off when they heard it... |

I know it's an inevitable problem, but I just hate lag in games. And it seems like it's always there. Especially today. Something was up with the connection today. |

As a side note: this thing.
Does it serve any important purpose, or is it just there to make Nintendo look better? |

![]() do they serve an important purpose, or are they just there to get caked with chocolate? Yes prime time, those would be the speakers. Though, caking them would work as well. |

You guys confuse me. I just don't like it when people try to use words they have only heard once, and don't know the meaning of. |

I just don't like it when people try to use words they have only heard once, and don't know the meaning of. That's right, people do that around here, and it sounds so stupid and confusing. Example: "Hey man, let's rub-down Wal-Mart." |

True, I never noticed that. Missing LEGO pieces. You get to that part in the guide, and the piece isn't there. Feels horrible. |

I hate that, I looked for one piece for seven hours non-stop once. Naboo Starfighter, the original. Methinks my creations need pictures and posted... |

And if you're really hardcore, you have to call LEGO, and order the piece online, and then it comes like, six weeks later, and you've lost the thing you were building. ...not that that's ever happened to me. No way...

I find it annoying when people think that they are web site developers just because they have designed a myspace. Even the slightly more intricate ones require less work than designing your own site. I like it when people like this try bragging about their 'accomplishment', and I can totally shoot it down. This happened with a friend of mine today. He kept going on and on about designing crap, like I cared. Actual conversation: "Yeah, I designed all the art and code myself." "Yeah, well I just found your background in a google image search for 'Royalty free wall paper'" *Thinks fast* "That's just temporary. I'll put up my original ones later. But all the coding was done by me." "Really? What does <br> tag do?" "Thats the one that makes it a link, right?" "Your lack of intelligence makes me want to stop living." |

yeah. my sister thought she was so smart because she copied code onto neopets. "look, i did this all by myself!" "you copied it from a website." "well, i found it myself!" "your friend showed you." "well, you don't even have neopets!" |

I'm trying. Give me a couple minutes to try something here. EDIT: Ok, it won't let me do what I was going to do. Didy figured out a way to fix it, but I can't get it to work for some reason or another. I'm gonna catch up with Stu tomorrow. In the meantime, we're gonna have to deal with it. |
