Yeah! I always get that...
I'm like- what was it? And then I just post something else while I'm there.

Also, I have a pet peeve about when I'm on the forum, and I only want to post one thing, but I don't think there is a point signing in to post it, so then I don't. And then I don't sign in for ages.

Hypocritical bigots: people who say they're open-minded and liberal, and even criticize others for being prejudiced, but then turn around and gripe about anyone who is the slightest bit different than they are. Come on, guys! If you're going to claim to be open-minded, then actually BE open-minded. Otherwise, just fess up to your own prejudices.

I'm getting extremely irritated at the news for constantly airing teasers for the segment where they're going to talk about that school shooting but never actually getting to said segment. I sat through a whole hours worth of kittens and fishermen just to see some crappy cell phone video that explained nothing. What happened to the news telling me news? I could care less whether or not to use paprika in my spring picnic thirst quenchers, I just want to know what I'm talking about if someone brings up an important event!

My older sister is a hypocritical bigot, but she doesn't claim to be open-minded, she's bigoted and proud. She likes to mix her own personal ideologies with Christianity and shun me whenever I stray from her own little denomination.

She's not really hypocritical, then.
I mean, she's not saying one thing and doing another. She is happily bigoted.
The people Dids is talking about refuse to admit that they are orders of magnitude more close-minded than the ones they call close-minded.
They're the kind of person that'll say something like "I hate christians because they refuse to be as open-minded as I am."
Yes, I have heard that exact statement before.

I know, she can be hypocritical in other ways. For example, she would throw a tissy-fit if someone was forced to take off a cross necklace at work but would approve of it if this were a pentagram necklace. She also gets mad when this guy on a Christian radio station talks about watching American Idol because she doesn't approve of that show, but she would probably tell her listeners stuff that happens on Family Guy and Aqua Teen Hunger Force if she were the one DJing.

Well, what happened was that Dids split the topic to fix the phantom page thing.

Grr…my sister is really, really, REALLY annoying me right now, earlier she told us her boyfriend was coming over and she told us to start cleaning the downstairs. BUT ALL THE CRAP DOWN THERE IS HERS! There is a little table by the front door, everyday, she comes home and piles tons of stuff on it. She has 5 HUGE piles of laundry in the living room, and a mountain of dishes in the sink, and she has tons of other stuff down there to! All I have down there is my GameBoy and my belt.

Anyways, she TOLD us to clean. Guess what she is doing. SHE SITTING AT HER DAMN COMPUTER! (lol, like me.)

A similar thing happened last night. At about 9, she want into the laundry room to clean the litter box. At midnight, I went to the refrigerator in there to get some food. The litter box top was off and there was a festering open bag of CAT FECES, RIGHT BY THE DOOR!

So I called up the stairs and asked here when she was ever going to finish, she said that she would soon. WHAT THE EFF? ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PUT THE LID BACK ON AND TAKE THE CAT POOP OUTSIDE! THAT TAKES 30 SECONDS!!!
AAAARRRRRGGGGLLLBLBLLBLBL!!!

She's been doing a lot of this crap lately.
X-(

Yeah...my sister is annoying in a different way. All she does in her free time is sit on the couch and watch Law and Order and other shows. She has her computer with her too. Yes, sometimes she IM's to friend, does homework, and Watches TV simultaneously.

Anyways, she sits on the couch, and I'm upstairs in my room, and doing my homework. I then hear her say

"Can you get my computer charger?"

The first time she said this, I was willingly. But after about, like, 10 times, this really began to tick me off. So I said:

"Why can't you get it?"

"Because your closer to it."

Typical answer. I sigh, and go fetch her charger. Actually, before I did that, I wrote a note saying:

"No."

She got angry, and I was expecting her to get up and get her charger herself. She didn't so I gave up. I went to get the sloth her charger, because I'm nice enough. After giving it to her, she just pushes her laziness to the edge and asks:

"Can you plug it in for me?"

What the answering machine beep? The closest outlet is just 5 steps away. Is it that much of a chore to just get up and walk? I explicitly asked if her butt was cemented to the couch. Yep. It sure seemed like it.

1. I hate it when people rub their bare feet on carpet. The sound annoys me s much unless I do it myself. Then it just feels so good.

2. I hate it when people excessively criticize me for my beliefs and then they go on and just flat out insult me.

3. I hate it that none of my peers are on the same intellectual level as me. It's really frustrating to talk to some people when they don't understand what I'm saying.

4. I hate thinking. I do too much of it. If I think too hard I might go crazy. (I'm being serious here.)

Do unto others that you would have done unto you. It's just a good Christian message.

No, not thinking is the number one cause of stupidity.

I would agree. I would also say that Wes is not the only person who needs to learn this.

It's really a minior peeve of mine, nothing huge:

people who say 'warsh'. Seriously, of all the accents I hear, that's the one I can't take. There's no 'r' in there folks! The worst was my english teacher last year, who constantly did that. Even would say Warshington DC, despite the fact we lives twenty minutes away, and anyone could hear it said correctly if they turned on the radio or the TV for five minutes, or even picked up the paper and saw WASHINTON POST/TIMES on there. Nope, no 'r' folks. *le sigh*

Peeve: Whenever my computer does a virus scan, it slows it down to a crawl. It even affects online performance. I am not ragging on my computer for doing the scan. I like my computer to be as clean as an operating room(pre-op), but I wish the scan didn't slow things down like it does.

UGH! I have the same problem with my Lappy. Whenever I start it, the first thing AVG does is a Full System Scan. Why? I just turned the bloody thing on, for goodness sake! What's more, I usually only turn my Lappy on when I need it; I don't leave it idling, like I do my Desky. I need my Lappy operating at peak efficiency when I use it.

What's more, between AVG, Firefox with NoScript, and Gmail (which is set not to automatically open or show potentially dangerous files), I don't really have much to worry about virus-wise.

Another Peeve: Windows Automatic Updates.

Seriously, I hate this. I know it's supposed to help keep the operating system secure, but it clogs up the intarweb tubes, making it practically impossible for me to do any work online. This is particularly problematic when using my dial-up at work! X(

Also, WAU does something weird to my Lappy's processor. Every time it gets an update, it starts downgrading my CPU's performance. It's a 2ghz processor, but after WAU, performance has dropped as low as 80mhz. WTC?? Windows really DOES take a day and a half to boot up then! Of course, I finally stumbled across a solution for this (and maybe you Lappy users who have encountered this can use it too): I just go into Device Manager and uninstall the CPU drivers. The machine will then reinstall the CPU drivers, and once it reboots, the CPU works at full capacity again.

Uh, guys, you know you can schedule these things, right? Schedule it to run at 3 a.m. or whenever you're least likely to be on the compy, everyone's happy.

Doesn't work on a Lappy, Jones. Since the Lappy's usually only on when I'm actually using it. AVG just says, "Oh. The computer's not on. Oh, well. I'll just run it the next time he logs on."

Fair enough, but I use AVG too and there's most certainly a way to keep it from doing that. Just go into the scheduler and uncheck the "If missed, start immediately when computer start-up" (way to go with the grammar, AVG peeps!).
