Is it just me, or has this joke been used quite a few times before? |

Eh, look at the Vikings from the last couple of years. Look at the Bears from the last couple of years. Look at the history of the franchises. Remember that the Bears play football outside, like it's supposed to be played, not in some wussy, climate-controlled dome. That's all you gotta know... |

High Gas Prices. Over the past week, I have watched gas prices at the nearby gas station go from around $2.70 to $3.10. Within A Week! That is just outrageous! Now, if I thought that any of that went to R & D for new fuel alternatives, or more efficient engines, I wouldn't mind. But I know that every dime of it is going to line the pockets of some rich oil baron. And why are they constantly raising these prices? Because they CAN! For no other reason! I depend on my vehicle to do my job. I have to be able to travel, especially since some of my patients are in Greenville. I can't afford to keep paying these high gas prices, but I don't have any choice. I don't happen to have a couple thousand dollars lying around to buy a new, more fuel efficient vehicle. If I could afford it, believe me, I'd get one with a quickness! Just to spite those greedy oil barons. But I don't, so they've got me over a barrel. Seriously. Don't we have anti-trust laws or something to put a stop to this? These people are ripping us off, and there's nothing that we can do about it but let them! Well, I for one am sick of it. |

Dids, you know what it was? Kentucky's attorney general filed a lawsuit that would fine Ashland-Marathon a total of $15,000 for their excessive profits made through gouging after Hurricane Katrina. This 15 grand is about .03% of the profits they're alleged to have made during that period... That 15 grand is gonna bring 'em down, so they're gonna have to make sure they can cover it. Also, some guy at a refinery had a hangnail. Seriously, we're getting done dirty. The "higher costs" thing would make sense if they weren't making record profits (remember kiddies, profit = $ from sales - operating expenses). If "higher crude oil costs" were what is driving this [s]"it's close to memorial day, so let's bend 'em over at the pump"[/s] price spike, then prices shouldn't be higher than they were when crude oil prices were $5-10 higher about a year ago. |

They drive me crazy and hurt my ears. So when I wear my iPod I don't look all cool like the cool people do on the cool iPod commercials.

Student Loans. I just looked at mine, and it appears that more of my payments are going to pay interest than on the principle. Which means that by the time I'm done paying them off, I will have paid more than twice the principle in interest. Crazy, huh? Well, within the next year, I hope to qualify for interest rate reduction. I just have to continue making all my payments on time for the next 10 months or so. |

Hmm, that's a shame. Have you looked into consolidation? If you haven't, you really should. |
