I kinda hate the live-music situation here in Denver. All the bands I wanna see either never come here or play only 21+ shows.

AND don't save your files as JPG's. Save them as .BMP's then use another program to convert them. That way you have some control over the quality settings. QFT I normally save as .BMP, and then save the final version as a .BMP and .PNG. Same quality as .BMP, with the size of a .GIF. It's pretty much the program I use to make avatars, sigs, and doodles. Epic Whail is a prime example. |

I know it's an excellent program (took a semester class in it), but until I get it I'll settle for something else. For some reason, I often get the same feelings about people who blindly love flash without ever having tried any other program. People who blindly love Flash as what? An animation program, or otherwise? |

I went to summer courses at a local community college to take animation and 3d design for 4 summers, starting when I was 10. After that, I stopped going when there was nothing else they could teach me (My teacher's words at the end of the 4th course). I have even been to seminars about animation. I have been subscribing to various digital art magazines for the past 6 years (Getting it news stand a year before that). I learned to use flash, blender, maya, 3ds max, toonboom, Photoshop, painter, and others, yet people still live with the mistaken impression that I can just "Show them how to do it", and they will magically be good animators. They see my short film, which, to anyone who doesnt know I made it, often gets the comment "Did pixar make that?", and they still think it can be taught overnight, and that it is easy. Worse than that, perhaps, is the people who want me to make them an animation or game. I wouldnt have a problem with this, but since I am working on so much right now, I am rather costly. I tell them that if they dont like the prices, they can go teach themself animation, and refer sever books to them, and even offer to lend them some of my old books, since buying all of them would cost well over $1000, but the always decline. DO PEOPLE HAVE NO PATIENCE?!?!?! *pill* |

This statement right here makes me wish that I did more productive things (like the above) over my summer, instead of being a crippled Flash animator and a writer who can't finish anything. To go along with the previous statement, my peeve is that I never finish anything. I want to make that Breakout clone that looks at the game in new ways with new modes? 'Want to write that Forumfic that I've promised that I'd finish months ago? Want to try to pick up on the hobby of drawing? Meh, work on it for a day or two, then not get around to it for a month, year, or possibly ever. I just can't limit myself down to one thing at a time, so therefore, nothing gets accomplished.
