I know how you mean Dids. Here in NY it's illegal to drive while talking on the phoe, unless you have a hands free device. But it's never inforced..yarr... |

When you're driving next to someone on the phone, try to discreetly honk your horn, low so they can't see your hands on the wheel. Then act oblivious to the nosie. That'll learn 'em! |

That'll learn 'em! Yeah, unless they freak out and swerve into your car. |

I really hate it when I ask somebody a question, and they take a really long time with it. When I JUST think that they either didn't hear me, or are ignoring me, and i'm just about to ask louder/walk away, they say "Well..." and i'm forced to wait again. |

Yeah, I hate that too Edgar. It gets really annoying, and I feel like I have to hit the person with a metalic rock to get their attention....yarr.... |

All of my pet peeves are conversation-based. |

Grah! This is more than a pet peeve, this is something that makes me really mad! So I went to pick up my new compy yesterday evening, and was super excited. So I carried all the heavy stuff up the 4 floors to my apartment, and I set everything up myself (which is a big accomplishment for me). But I couldn't internetize myself because I was waiting for my boyfriend to come home so he could set up our wireless router. So I played around with the display and stuff, then I discovered the DVD player program. So I watched Finding Nemo. Then my boyfriend came home from work, and it turns out that, although we have a wireless router and the receiver thing, he doesn't have a networking card in his computer (in the network he had before with his sister, he was the "satellite" computer and so didn't need one on account of he was using the receiver I'm using). My compy doesn't have one either, because I'm supposed to use the receiver. He also doesn't have an ethernet cable with which to connect the router to the computer, and somehow has lost the DC adapter for the router. So I have no internet. But that's okay, right? Because this morning, after my car appointment, I go to Future Shop to buy all this stuff we need. Networking card = easy. Ethernet cable = easy. 5 volt DC adapter = doesn't exist. So the guy tells me to go to Canadian Tire (which is like a big hardware/home store). So I go. I find a DC adapter, but it's not the right voltage. I ask the guy there if it'll work, and he doesn't know. So now I am sitting in the Nerd Hole, with a fancy computer doing nothing in the next room. So I'm calling my boyfriend at work and telling him to go to Canadian Tire after he gets off work, and I'm praying that when I get home from work at 930 that I will have internet on my new compy. GRRR!!! |

I know what you mean MHG. My brother decided to one day unhook the internet that goes to my compy and try to hook up the router. It didn't work, and for a while I didn't have any internet, because I have DSL and you need the password for it to connect, unlike Cable...yarr.... |

I have a weird Pet Peeve that may be bordering on obsessive-compulsive: I cannot stand to have my hands or clothes dirty. Spilling maple syrup on myself is one of the worst things that can happen to me. ("The stickyness...") |

I like getting messy. I hate when my guitar decides to start buzzing like crazy when I go up above the 11th fret. Stupid weather! |

I hate it when I anticipate something on ESPN HD, and then realize that I don't have ESPN HD. It sucks. A lot. I'm gonna go cry now. |

I hate certain, normal noises. Like a creepy chair (pants). That noise will make me feel sick. It's like, weird. |

I dislike my router as well. A lot of times I barely have a signal, even though the reciever and sender are only 10 feet apart...yarr... |

It's not like she has NO Internet. She can post, after all. Do you mean pop-up ads? Because the Google Toolbar gets rid of those pretty effectively. |

Ugh! It sucks! Brand new $2500 computer, lookin' all fancy over there in the bedroom... But it doesn't do anything! Well, it does do stuff, but not the stuff I really want it to do. And today my boyfriend and his friend were going to buy a new router and try to fix our problem that way (we now think it's on account of we don't have the proper power adapter for the router. The boys tried to splice some stuff together last night, but to no avail), but he got called in to work on his day off because his boss, who is diabetic, is in the hospital. And we were going to go for groceries and go see HG2G today too! I'm just so mad! |

That's strange, I found it to be insulting of my intelligence. |

Well, it's not a problem with my compy, it's a problem with the router. The receiver is hooked up to my compy and it's looking for a wireless signal, but the router isn't sending one. And no, it's not that I have no internet, but it's that I have a new super-cool computer that I can't use. Much. |

This is pretty much what happened with my new computer. Somehow, the operating system was deleted, and the Dell guy had to come and install a new hard drive. Before that, my dad needed my laptop to do his work, so I had to use the crappy desktop in my room. But now that the new hard drive is in, I've got the laptop back, so hooray. |

My friend Dave got mad at his and punched the monitor. He chipped a bone in his hand. That was 2 months ago, and he says it still hurts. |

This has been a long-time pet peeve of mine but, I really hate getting a cold. I have one now and it's horrible, I only have a slightly stuffy nose because I just blew it all out. And my upper lip burns everytime I brethe through my nose from using tissues too much. |
