Hey, here's a Pet Peeve:

When the Wiki "exceeds its bandwidth" for several hours and no one can use it.

I wonder what happened...

Yay!! Thank you JtTC. I had tried AdBlock, but it failed.

Another pet-peeve, my shoulder. When I was nine, I was able to pitch the best in the league. My team was dominant. But then I had an injury. Everyone in the family thought it was minor. I haven't pitched more than three consecutive innings since. I have gone been assigned to two stints of physical therapy and rehab, but whenever I felt good enough to get back on the mound, I would end up hurting my shoulder again. In total, I have only gone in to pitch five times since I was nine, and it was my favorite position. And it's even harder to have it be my favorite position while watching someone else do it. Gah!!

Oh, but that's not all, folks.
Other pet-peeve, my knees. Well, when I figured out I couldn't pitch without hurting myself, I beagan to play catcher. I played catcher for two years after hurting my shoulder, and came to love it. Well, in the beginning of the third year after the shoulder injury, I begin to experience massive amounts of pain when I was squat to play catcher. So I wen to the doctor, and he said that I have Osgood-Schlatter's Disease and says I need to sit out catching for the rest of the year.
Well, I finally got back into catching this year, but I am really scared because I caught eight straight innings with endless pain. So...hopefully I'm not injured again.

You know, I'd laugh at the name of that disease, but the funny thing is, my dad had it when he was a kid. Coincidence? Or something more...

And you're welcome about the toolbar, Ikipapa. It blocks those pop-ups effectively, but it also blocks PM notifications, so be careful.

Well, if you would have read the website I linked to, you would have seen that doctors think 30 million kids have the disease in the world. I'm one in 30 million. I feels special!! :p

I read some of it. I guess that's not really a rare disease, but it still has a funny name.

And my dad really did have it.

Pet Peeve:

Porplemontage's site is down, so my avatar doesn't work anymore.

I hope it gets fixed soon.

I don't like that the World Championship (hockey) is being played in Austria so the games are on at weird times. Who wants to wake up at 9 on a Saturday?

But we beat Latvia yesterday! Huzzah!

A little downtime never hurt nobody. Except maybe The Cheat. But yeah, sites go down. Nothing to worry about.

Tivo works wonders.

Peeve: Bands who cover songs that never should do so. Case in point:"Faith" By Limp Bizkit. Now George Micheal's original was good and Limp Bizkit gave it a major dose of suckittude.

You think a poor university student can afford that? It's not the exact same thing as Tivo, but I'd need to buy a PVR (Personal Video Recorder) from Bell (my satellite provider) and that costs mucho bucks.

Usually it's not an issue, since we get network TV in all its timezones, so shows replay 2 or 3 hours after their original broadcast. Sadly, though, TSN and Sportsnet don't do that.

I don't even get that MHG. And with my dish I get a whole crap load of QVC type channels. You have to pay a lot more to even get channels like UPN...yarr....

Now sometimes that's true. But a good cover would be DEVO's cover of (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction, by the Roulling Stounes.

Mick Jagger even said it was the best version of the song he'd ever heard, including his own.

My newest pet-peeve:

When I'm playing baseball outside flies will buzz in my ear. UGH!! It's so annoying! But I can never swat them out of the air.

Here are two better covers:Both are by KoRn "Word UP!" and "Another brick in the wall"

There are some great covers and some freakin hilarious ones out there, you have to know where to look.

Peeve - my neighbours. When they're not screaming at each other, they're slamming doors and going off in their old noisy car that is desparate need of repair and come back within 5 minutes. Then 10 minutes later, they'll be gone again. And they leave their gate open so their savage dog can roam the streets.

Peeve again - dumb customers. Last night I was carrying a tray full of drinks that had to go to several different tables. While I've still got about 5 full glasses with me, some stupid woman calls me up as I'm walking past, holds her plate out to me and says "Could you please wrap this up so I can take it home?"

In my head I'm screaming "Do you not have eyes?? Can't you see that I'm a littel busy at the moment you (not very nice words follow).
So I say to her (in my most annoyed tone of voice): "Yes, I can do that for you, but I will have to come back because I've got my hands full at the moment".

Stuff like that just really gets on my friggin nerves!

I can sympathize with you fully PT. It see,s that customers have no eyes and cannot see how busy I am, and they expect me to wait on them like I'm their personal servant. I just tell them go and wait in line, because I don't take the orders. It usually gets them mad. Even my boss hates many of the customers...yarr......

You guys have it easy. I used to work in a shoe store (rhymes with Phinnish Line). We had to greet every single customer that came in, ask him/her/them for the shoes. That was ok, but it was the customers that asked for tons of shoes, and bought none that really ticked me not on.
One family, and I swear to Buddha, was there for two hours, tried on 15 pairs of shoes for four kids...and bought one pair. But no, these weren't your everyday sneakers or basketball shoes or whatnot. They were the cheap, half-off kind. First off, you know how hard it is to find the cheap, half-off kind in the stock room? Second, stop having kids! They actually had six there, but only four were old enough to verbally annoy me. Third, they didn't need shoes; their shoes looked nice actually. Get them a glass of milk or something. Fourth, after we sell the shoes, we were supposed to demonstrate a new cleaner, or push accessories, in order to get "bonus" points for gifts, employee discounts...whatever. So I did. Fifth, they paid with credit and cash, which is a pain to do. Yet despite all of the fun times, I was always the best employee (sales-wise at least).
How much did I earn at this job that I was the best at and worked at for a year and a half?
$6.50 an hour, my friends.
That, my friends, is a gripe.
..My friends.

Pet Peeve: For tomorrow's English class, I have to write a poem. Any kind of poem, as long as it is 12 lines long and uses simile.

Now, is it me or does anyone else think that if you're forced to write a poem, that the whole point of poetry (expressing yourself in the way YOU want) is defeated? Also, did anyone understand that last sentence?

Stupid poem...grumble...

I hate it when my boss makes my climb on the ladder at work and clean the ceiling. The worse part is, he knows that I'm none to fond of ladders and heights. And there was someone else there to do it, but he just stood and watched....yarr...
