Now, is it me or does anyone else think that if you're forced to write a poem, that the whole point of poetry (expressing yourself in the way YOU want) is defeated? Also, did anyone understand that last sentence?

Stupid poem...grumble...

ME TOO!!
But I have write a whole freakin' poem of similes. GAH!!

But I have an A in everything else.

Mine would have to be artsy homework assignments.

i.e.: "Create a comic strip about..."
"Make a political cartoon..."
"Make a (insert anything here)..."

I'm far too macho for stuff like that.

Well I can't, because that's the kind of stuff that I can't do in the five minutes before class starts. :p

I couldn't. I am not artsy-fartsy.
In fact, I hate painting and drawing and all that jazz.
For the Renaissance Project I had to do, I chose to recreate the Mona Lisa, and it didn't turn out so well.

Neither am I, I just like it more than making a 20-page booklet on matter. Whoopee.

I also hate it when I pluck the wrong string when I'm playing guitar.
I'm pretty new, so I expected this, but it happens to me a lot.

Ever been to State College? It was 65 degrees one day, sunny, then 32 degrees and blizzard conditions the next. Weather here sucks.

Or he could, you know, bring up his grade?

Or go with a friend? Or something.

...the names of dead people.

Some examples:

People who don't like the new Hitchhiker's Guide movie. They don't like how different it is to the book (what did they expect? I'd have thought it was a given) and say "Douglas Adams is spinning in his grave."

People complaining about the movie version of The Time Machine with Guy Pearce. They say "HG Wells is spinning in his grave."

A surprising amount of Star Trek fans talk no end about "Gene Roddenberry's vision" (WTF?!) and whenever they see a Star Trek product - movie or TV episode - that they don't like, they say "Gene Roddenberry is spinning in his grave" (which is kinda funny since he was cremated).

This begs the question: did these people actually know the person in question? Were they in fact their trusted friend and confidant? Do they actually have authority to say what Douglas/Gene/H.G./Bozo the Clown would have thought? You have to wonder where these people get their superiority complexes from. Do they come on sale?

I don't think you have to know a person to feel that his legacy is being trashed by crappy merchandise. You're not saying they're actually responding, plus I don't think it's bad to say that you don't think they would appreciate what's being done to whatever they created.

I haven't seen the movie, nor have I even read the book. But I did see something on Attack of the Show about it.

Apparently, this is something that Douglas Adams wanted. He wanted the book to continue in a movie form. He kinda had it planned out. Merchandising, maybe not. But still, it's always impossible to re-create a book into a movie perfectly. Watch it for the movie, not to compare it to the book.

Jimi Hendrix was a leftie and he had to play a right-handed guitar. He just flipped it around and played it left handed.

New pet peeve (not that bad, and doesn't annoy me much, but still):

The dodgy "speech recognition" thing that comes with Windows XP. It doesn't work with me! Even though I've trained it many times, it still gets everything wrong (and I know what I'm doing).

Two words about that thing: DOESN'T WORK.

OK bye.

It's not that easy. That means all the strings are messed up, and it's even harder to play. You would have to flip the guitar around and buy new strings to restring it, because you can't take off strings and put them back on, because they will snap.

Another thing I hate is that when I have no money, all the crap I need for my compy is on sale, but when I get some money, the prices are all jacked up....yarr.....

Peeve - Walking in the shopping centre. If you're walking briskly, chances are that you will eventually catch up and be behind someone really slow. So you move to the side to try and get around them, and they move to the same side as well, like to have a closer look at something in a window. Then you move in the opposite direction, then they decide what they were looking at was not that interesting, and return to their previous path.

Graaaa

Ramrod if your boss here's change jingling in somebody's pocket, he will try to make a sale.
