Anyone else here like roller coasters more than normal?

Anyway, the amusement park near me (Canada's Wonderland) has a new coaster this year, and it opens this Friday.

A couple of my friends and I are also going to Cedar Point this July.

Yes, I love roller coasters. Living in Northeast PA has some advantages: I'm relatively close to Knoebels, Dorney Park, Hershey Park, and Six Flags Great Adventure.

I love me some Steel Force.

The front of one of Northern/Central California's proudest rollercoasters: Medusa at Six Flags Marine World. It's big. I have yet to ride it due to my pansy attitude.

God I love rollercoasters.

I like roller coasters, but I've only been on a couple.

The only amusement park near me is an hour away; I went there once. They have 3 roller coasters, none of them all that impressive. They have one called the Diamondback where you go down, go over a loop, go back up, and then do the whole thing in reverse. It's fun ^^

LOVE coasters (and amusement parks in general) but don't get to ride them as much as I used to. Closest park to me is about 2 hours away and we just don't make it up there much any more, much less any other parks.

Here's a picture that shows off the raw greatness of Medusa.

Also, the Giant Dipper in Santa Cruz is pretty epic, it's not as much of a thrill as Medusa but still fun.

I'm "meh" on coasters.
There are some I LOVE and some I don't like all that much.
The last coasters I've been on are in Disney parks.
The Expedition Everest is fun. It's sort of like Big Thunder Mountain on steroids.

Also, there's the Aerosmith one. I love the 0-60 in 2.8, straight up a loop.

Yeah, I love the Aerosmith one. I couldn't believe how fast it started out, I was impressed.

When I was in Disney last year, I wanted so bad to ride that one, but the freakin' line was 2 hours long, and there was just no way.

I did get to do the Everest one, though. It was ok, I guess, but I prefer good old-fashioned speed coasters to the themed ones.

That's how I rode Test Track at Epcot. Got the tickets at 9 AM, the ride was scheduled for 11 PM.

'Course, this was New Year's Eve 2006-2007, so that might have had something to do with it.

They used to have an "Australia's Wonderland" but it closed down. :-( :-(

Now the only amusement park near me is Luna Park, but it's right in the middle of Sydney so it's really cramped and has small and crappy rides.

Yes.

The Goliath - Its just a dadgum good coaster!
Image

Mind Bender - This one is cool. Couple loops and it takes you through trees and stuffs.
Image

Georgia Scorcher - The best Stand up coaster I've been on.
Image

Ninja - One of Six Flags over Georgia's best.
http://www.joyrides.com/sfog/photos/ninja.jpg

Georgia Cyclone - Possibly the greatest wooden coaster.

There are bunches of others, but these are fresh in my memory. I just rode them 3 days ago.

I'm only like an hour away from Six Flags St. Louis, and this year, I swore I was going to ride The Batman [haven't ridden it yet due to my pansyness].

There used to be a park 15 minutes or so away from me but then Cedar Fair "renovated" it and it's a water park now and all of the rides are getting either sold to other parks or auctioned off

To be entirely truthful I know far too much about this topic

^If you don't get a chance to ride their Batman, don't worry, there are seven others

wtf is six flags great adventure?

I know it's Discovery Kingdom now, but I still call it Marine World.

Don't know what the heck Great Adventure is. AND IT DOESN'T MATTER BECAUSE THEY'RE BOTH EXACTLY THE SAME.
