I've rediscovered the magic of Original Pirate Material by The Streets.

Best tracks:
  • Has It Come To This?
  • Weak Become Heroes
  • Geezers Need Excitement

Best hip-hop album of 2002.

Ah, yes, The Libertines. It was a sad day in England when they split up. :(

And both Carl Barat's and Pete Doherty's new bands don't even come close.

So I did some comparison shopping: Daft Punk's "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" vs. Kanye West's "Stronger" At first I was put off a bit by the whole "Rap" thing and gravitated toward the original. But as time's gone on, I've found myself listening exclusively to Kanye West's version. I think it's the little changes, and they add up. Remixing something to rap on top of isn't just stealing something, it's a careful process of tweaks both large and small that really can make a song more interesting.

Anyway, I'm listening to "Stronger", and it's actually doing a lot to get me through this late night homework session.

You know if you were Teff you would be crucified for saying that, but since your IT, you get a pass.

That's me, always drawing the get out of jail free cards :)

We'll see if I still like it when I actually go to sleep (never did last night).

Freaking awesome mix of music and effects. No real message to it, but hey, it's Triple H's WWE Entrance music.

Strangely enough, as do I!

For seriouslyness, as much as I don't like rap, I like "Stronger" for it's unusal techno hook and curious ability to continually listen to while doing homework...

Anyways, I just got home from my first Kung-fu lesson. So, naturally I'm listening to the training music from Rocky.

...but I feel like a loser.

Because, It's Midnite from the Homestar Runner soundtrack.

I think it's pretty good, even though I'm not really familiar with the genre of music that they're parodying.

It's supposed to be 80's style heavy metal (or what they call "Hair Bands"), like Poison, Twisted Sister, Quiet Riot, Motley Crue.

I know, but I haven't heard very much of that. My cousin burnt me a metal CD last Christmas, but I can't find it anywhere.

Sellout Song - Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains

I love my nihilistic anarcho hobo punk, it's a nice change from the usual indie or ska I listen to.

Read it on Wikipedia. Ya gotta love the late 60's.

Rocket (Acoustic) - Smashing Pumpkins

The thing at the end, not to healthy for an acoustic, but it sounds so cool. I love doing that with a guitar. Its a good acoustic song.
