Hovering Sombrero - They Might Be Giants

Lovely song with great lyrics (the second verse is particularly brilliant).

The sad thing is, I can actually make sense of it.

Amusingly enough, I'm listening to Fistful of Sand - Five Iron Frenzy.

It's amusing because this is the live version when they sang it without finishing the lyrics, so the lead just kinda garbles and says fakes works.

The sad thing is, you can almost make sense of it.

Sympathy-The Goo Goo Dolls

I'm trying so hard to like this band because Elle loves them, but it's just not happening. I hate the lead singer.

Ooo, good choice, good choice.

I'm listening to Side Projects Are Never Successful - Bomb the Music Industry!

I implore you to listen to this song. If you hate it just skip to the ending monologue because it's just that Funk epic.

Circles - Tip The Van

A female ska vocalist who doesn't sound like pre-pop Gwen Stefani? PREPOSTEROUS.

Alterbridge - Metalingus

Just a flat out good track. Great riffs, solid vocals and awesome drums.

LDP!

Te Quiero Puta! by Rammstein

This was one of the bright spots from Rosenrot. Till sings in Spanish better than he does in English.

NP: Einstürzende Neubauten, "Dead Friends Around The Corner". I specifically bought Perpetuum Mobile because of this song, which I heard them perform live at All Tomorrow's Parties earlier this year. It's not the clanging-and-banging Neubauten people might be used to, much more mellow and subdued though still with a good deal of scrap metal percussion in there. All the lyrics are in German bar the single, worldweary English phrase "there's a place around the corner where your dead friends live." It was that line that hooked me really, it's just so resonant and heartbreaking

Ahh, memories of church camp this summer...

Broken Record - Scarling

I love the lyrics to this song.

AND YOU SAID "OH
THIS NEVER FELT LIKE HOME"
AND YOU SAID "OH
YOU NEVER LEFT ME ALONE"
AND I SAID "OH
I WOULDA STARTED TO DROWN"
OH-OH-OH-OH
THIS RECORD BROKE ON ITS OWN

And now...

We Are The Music Makers - Scarling.

GO, GO, STOP, NOW GO~!

I'm listening to "Don't" by Dinosaur Jr.
It doesnt sound like any of their other songs.
Maybe that's why I like it so much lol.
J Mascis is a great guitarist.
I would be excited about his new signature Fender Jazzmaster if it wasn't sparkling purple lol.

Seriously, Whenever, Wherever! That's the only way to go.

I'm currently listening to a Missy Higgins song: Greed for your love
My iTunes is on shuffle.
It's ok-ish...

Voice?

I heart the dancing. Well, the "old" Shakira, with the hips and all. The new "I'm having an asthma attack and a seizure" thing doesn't work for me.

Sweet Home Cananada - Bomb the Music Industry!

This song is just plain acoustic (except the voice insert at the beginning and the distorted stuff at the end).
