But so do every New Wave revival group. Franz Ferdinand, Moving Units, Klaxons, Bloc Party, Futureheads, Arctic Monkeys, Bravery... I'm looking at you.

Hüsker Dü - I'll Never Forget You

I know some of those bands sound a little generic, but honestly, a lot of them aren't that bad. Sometimes music doesn't have to be something that sings the soul to rest, and can just me something catchy. And hey, if "Smile Like You Mean It," or "Brianstorm," or heck, even "Skip To The End," aren't fun songs to hum along to, I don't know what is.quote]

Couldn't have said it better myself. All songs don't have to have wonderful lyrics people.

Interpol is a great group as well 'Mikes!'

Anyways, I'm listening to Amarillo Sky - Jason Aldean.

Yes, a country song. Please don't shoot me.

Forty Days - Streetlight Manifesto

Despite it being "filler", I love the back-and-forth swing to the song.

Bobby Bare, Jr. - Stay in Texas

I wish that I had been introduced to Mr. Bare, Jr. sooner. I've this hella gigantic soft-spot for old-style folksy country stuff.

She Hates Me by Puddle of Mudd

It's a guy's break-up song. Any guy who has been dumped can sympathize with this song.
Puddle of Mudd=Plagiarists.

I hate Puddle of Mudd even more now. And that song's way better.

Nickleback is one of the worst bands of all time.

Second'd.

Viva Las Vegas-Dead Kennedys cover

Great song. Extra verses are awesome too.

I don't know who the artist is - Elvis is Everywhere

It's on the radio, which is why I don't know who sings it. Good song.

Interpol (who never really brought anything new to the table in the first place, I might add!).

This I can agree with. I love their debut album, despite it sounding very similar to Joy Division. But after that they haven't had anything that compares.

Superstar by Sonic Youth

Sonic Youth covering the Carpenters. I fracking love it.

Alleged plagiarism notwithstanding, Puddle of Mudd and Nickelback do some good songs. I don't go in for any of this elitist band-hating stuff.

edit: Bugkiss, I wish I could get into Sonic Youth! I have Daydream Nation and A Thousand Leaves but I hardly know either of them...

Well, I only own Daydream Nation and a few select songs from soundtracks, otherwise I listen to them through Pandora.com. I'd suggest giving either Daydream Nation or Sister a few good listens.

Tree Hugger by Kimya Dawson and Antsy Pants

From the Juno soundtrack. I only found out about Kimya from said soundtrack. It's good stuff, and I'm debating whether or not I want to get more.

Tij - Battles

Meh, I don't know why, but I just can't get interested in Battles. They're just a little too off-beat for me. I don't mind experimental music, but that's all it is - experimental. Not really the kind of stuff I'd listen to for fun.

Avalanches - Frontier Psychiatrist

You need a review? Watch and listen and I'm pretty sure you'll have the same opinion as me.

^I approve. I haven't heard much of The Avalanches' other stuff, but this song is hilarious.

Heh. Well, they only have one studio album (Since I Left You, from 2000) and while it is awesome, the rest of the album isn't funny like Frontier Psychiatrist :P

Incinerate - Sonic Youth

Watching Juno has rekindled my love with Sonic Youth. I love when songs portray a deep meaning with such abstract or seemingly immature lyrics. Such methods of song writing keep overplayed topics from going stale. I mean a love song that uses the words "I love you" is fine and dandy, but it looses me almost instantly. Now if you can put it differently or use different words, you got my attention.
