Mr. Children - Main Street ni Ikou

Very bouncy and catchy, even though I don't know most of what they're saying.

Pretty Hot - Carlisle

We can live our lives like this is as good as it gets
Or we can let our dreams become our apathy
Or we can admit that the things we do and make
Are what we make of them

This song reminds me of those Emo kids who claim they're insane to get attention.

I feel like that has a lot to do with Billy Corgan's voice. It just seems like the kind of song that NEEDS to be whined. You know what I mean? xD

I like Pisces Iscariot a lot.

Also as an aside, I didn't like Zeitgeist so much.

Currently Sax Rohmer 1 by The Mountain Goats. It's off their newest album Heretic Pride. I'm trying to figure out if I want to buy that or not by listening to this one song, and I'm still not sure. Anyone who can offer a suggestion as to this would be thanked.

It had a LOT to do with Billy's voice. Not the whining part though, his voice is NOT whiny.

Pisces Iscariot isn't an actual album, but yes it is one of my faves as well.

Zeitgeist, couldn't agree more, its not their greatest, but it is still better than a lot of people give it credit for. They just need to bring the guitar soloitity back to their stuff. Zeitgeist was just way too layered up.

Anyways, I'm listening to some more JFT.

Learn Not to Lie - JFT

For some reason "thom yorke whiny" has fifteen times the hits on Google as "billy corgan whiny." And "chris cornell whiny" has more than that. (All without quotes.)

Blues from a Gun, by The Jesus and Mary Chain.

edit: ouch, if you put the artist's name in quotes, Corgan and Cornell are tied and Yorke has eleven times the hits of both

Green Day has some awesome stuff. And ironically, Brain Stew is the first song I learned the bass line to.

The King of Carrot Flowers by Neutral Milk Hotel

When I first got In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, this first track was so mindbogglingly awesome that I had high hopes for the rest of it. Unfortunately, however, it didn't live up. One of, if not the best track on it.

Green Day does have some good stuff for the music they aim to play, but they don't hold a joint to The Bitches. And ironically, that coincidence isn't ironic at all.
