Finally got around to buying Endtroducing..... today. Man, the first album ever to be created out of nothing but samples... freaking eh. Soooo good. In the words of the promo sticker: "Dj Shadow is the Jimi Hendrix or the Jimmy Page of the sample." Yes. Very yes.

Yeah, they definately have talent, but I wish Thomas Erak would just shut up. The Mars Volta is the same way: an otherwise exellent band hampered by an annoying lead singer.

Yeah... there are a couple of gems on the latter albums but none have been as consistently good as Endtroducing..... The Outsider was a particularly disappointing album for DJ Shadow fans, mostly because of its whole "mainstream" vibe. Blah... I guess you just can't get it all...

Some more underground rap. I just picked up this guy's collaborative double EP with DJ Moves and AWOL One. Good stuff.
