Numb- Linkin Park

This song has both the honor of being the first LP song I ever heard and the song that I first heard associated with Sonic the Hedgehog.

.... And to this day (at least 3 years later) it remains my favorite Linkin Park song.

I was listening to the Limozeen concert several times on Youtube earlier, and I'm now listening to Hysteria by Def Leppard.

Shoebox in my Closet - Catch 22

Mm, '97 cassette quality! I really want Kalnoky to redo a bunch of these songs, they're all really great.

Flat Beat - Mr. Oizo

Oh man, I forgot how how good this jam is. So iconic of the 90's too... and I completely forgot. And let's not forget the epic music video, which truly defined the fine art of head bobbing.

Flat Eric for president!!

Oooooh and hey! 400 posts! Yay! :)

Transient Exuberance - Behold...The Arctopus

Eh, too mathcore for my tastes. These guys obviously have skill but they can't seem to stay on one melody for more then 30 seconds before jumping to a completely different one. Technical skill isn't everything...you have to use it well. Still, they have their occasional bits of awesome.

The List - Defiance, Ohio

My current Defiance, Ohio love interest. This song is crazy great to listen to while walking down an empty street at night and your steps are in beat.

Welcome To Europe - Squarepusher

Hello Everything is probably Squarepusher's best album yet. I could never really get into his previous albums, which were what the media likes to call "IDM" (intelligent dance music). This is probably the stupidest term ever, because it's not very intelligent, you can't dance to it, and arguably it's not even music. It sounds like a Casio keyboard and a drumkit being tossed down a flight of stairs.

But this album is a lot more accessable, while still keeping his signature experimental streak. I love it.

What I'm listening to: a lecture about romantic area musicians

What I'd rather be listening to: the white noise of my fan as I fall asleep

What music I'd rather be listening to: Imogen Heap, Hide and Seek

Why You Wanna Trip On Me - Michael Jackson

This song would be better without the guitar riff…

Agreed. Very agreed.

Dante's Inferno - Len

Remember Len? They had that "Steal My Sunshine" hit back in 1999... And they made a comeback in 2007! This jam's a neat little acid jazz instrumental. Me likes.

I'm generally very intolerant of Metal. However, I rather like Blood and Thunder by Mastadon.
Also, Chik N' Stu (AKA Pizza Pie) by System of a Down is tolerable, if only due to the randomness.
