Am I the only one that noticed that Terry Bradshaw called Goodell "The commissioner of the New York Giants"?

Is it just me, or did Brady look like he didn't care at all?

Welp that's too bad, I always liked the Giants but now I've gotta hate 'em forever.

Them's the breaks.

Oh, Football fans. The kings of going BATSH** insane whenever their favorite team loses. The people who yell at the screen when watching the post-game recap.

Sigh.

Um, he's Tom Brady, he's not going to throw fits...

Someone on the block is holding a party, and now I get to listen to him and his drunk friends scream for 20 minutes. Fun.

That's 'cause he doesn't get worked up under pressure. He stays calm. That's what he's known for.

During.

Really?

He seemed pretty riled up to me.

But he didn't look calm. He looked like he wasn't invested at all.

You try putting an entire devotion into being a fan of one thing and getting so close to perfection, only to have it ripped from you.

Rusty wrote:

I thought he looked more devoted than anything.

You want to see "not invested", look at Peyton Manning after throwing his last incomplete pass in the AFC Divisional game.

He went for the Super Bowl theme...you know he has the Giants logo there too, right?

I would never be that devoted to a football team, or anything else for that matter.

Well, can't say that I was rooting for your team, Ace...
but, man. That's gotta be a real heartbreaker. Cheating or no cheating, they played far better than any other team all year, but just couldn't pull it out when it was for the biggest meaning (Kinda like our Fantasy Team).

Though I don't understand the greatness of the losing in the Super Bowl, you can take it from me, a SAN DIEGO sports fan, when I say I know how you feel.

But, all that aside, both teams played a great game, and it made for really good TV (especially since 5/6 of all the commercials sucked).

EDIT: Holy poop, seven posts between me pressing Reply and now.

I don't care if you like the Pats or not, but please feel bad for Junior Seau. Dude's gone 18 years without a ring. That's brutal.

Worst part about this is now all people will remember is the choking, not the ridiculously awesome team that was.

Not a choke, by any means.
Look at last year's Ohio State team for the definition of choke.

Still though. Now people aren't going to be debating this as one of the best teams ever, when it clearly was.

The Giants just wanted it more, I guess.

Thank you, New York Giants.

Thank you for beating the Patriots and ending the perfect season that no one, outside of their fans, wanted to see.

Thank you for showing us that 16-0 means nothing if you finish 2-1.

Thank you for proving that a good offense only gets you so far, and that defense wins championships.

Thank you for showing that the Patriots are good, but they're not that good.

Thank you for stopping the 2007 Patriots from being famous, and instead making them infamous.

Thank you eternally, from the depths of my heart,
Hiatt Werling

Oh, I still think they're one of the best teams ever, and they had one of the best seasons ever.
If only they would have played this game in Giants stadium...

Reasons why New York is awesome (In order of appearance):

Bwave
Giants
BTG
Mailman #1
Mailman #2
Ramrod

Edit: Hiatt Werling is the best name ever.

okay

Not true. I'm sure a lot of people wanted to see it because of the history. And because it would finally make the '72 Dolphins GTFO.

Everyone already knew that.

Fair enough.

Yeah they were. Still the best team of all time.

See above.

Um, what?
The Giants wanted the game more... the Patriots wanted a perfect season more.
It's understandable why the Giants won.... these teams are equally matched, not one is better than the other.

Also I'm really really dreading whenever BTG gets in here and completely rubs it in my face like I know he will. If you guys are already this bad, he's going to be awful.

Dude, you're talking to me?! Seau played here for a long time. I love the man. The only reason I could have accepted a Pats win was for him. I was devastated when he left the Chargers, and that was back when I didn't even care about football. He played here for thirteen seasons, and made the Pro Bowl in twelve. Amazing.
Plus, the restaurant named after him is also amazing.
