It hurts because it's true.

Jeebus, you guys. I just think the comic is good and if the creator decides to copypaste backgrounds, characters, etc., it's his choice.

Personally, I wouldn't want to spend hours recreating the same exact drawing, anyway. ;)

Solution: draw your characters in different poses and angles instead of just recreatating one pose over and over again. I know that takes a little more effort but the end result looks a lot better.

I wouldn't mind the copypasting if the writing was really good (like in 8-Bit Theater), but it's not. Plus, Buckley is a prick.

My only counter to any of that is that yes, he's a prick, but he put forth some effort into an amusing Spore comic, so I will grant him that.

For the record, I like his games and he's definately a talented guy. This doesn't make him any less of a prick, though.

EDIT: hurp de derp wrong thread homerun

It's also completely lazy and makes it look like crap.

Then draw your characters in different positions.

EDIT: Will be merging all CAD related posts to Webcomic thread where I've already talked about why it's a bad comic and you should feel bad.

Stop lording your opinions over everyone. Even if you are super leader master of glorious Acetatorship man, the peasants will rebel. I do NOT want to clean that mess up. Not after last time.

Why use my opinions when Scott DeWitt has said it so much better?

Is it really worth it to hate a comic that much? I mean, I'm not a big CAD fan but I don't devote any energy to complaining about it either.

Well he wrote that so people wouldn't talk about it all the time on his forum. I just defer to it because it's a simple way to say why it's a bad comic.

I don't absolutely detest CAD myself, but saying it's good is pretty wack.

What?

I agree with him. It's not like I loved it before I read that. He just said everything I was thinking in a way that I couldn't.

Now now, no need to argue over syndicated comics here. This is about telling people their WEBCOMIC opinions are wrong.

This is brilliant.

While I don't agree with the quote, it DID make me laugh along with the lack of changing facial expressions.

Kind of like Homestar, Bonus Stage, Sinfest, blah blah blah.

He ALMOST made it today. ALMOST. Up until the last two panels. Oh well, at least it's not his deranged form of bragging this time.

Oh yes, I remember this comic about what Metal Gear Solid 5 may be like.

Needless to say, I roffled.
