I'm sure that we had a topic on this a long time ago, but the search feature isn't really bringing it up. What do you think will happen to the Wiki and the Forum (and all of the things that have branched off from them) in the near or far future? I remember that back in the old topic, ideas such as rotating locations were brought up (which is more-than-likely possible). In the near future (this year), I'd guess that at least one new moderator will be added with the departure of another one. A fad will probably be brought up this year that will catch on, but quickly die out, since we're not all into fads as much anymore. I also expect more features to be added to the Forum, none of which that are too major. New ideas will probably be brought up with avatars, signatures, locations, etc., some of which that will be interactive. I expect more dynamic signatures to pop up from our programming monkeys, more unique ways to go about rotators (like this-guy's sig), and yes, rotating locations. Oh, and I'm sure that some older members will come back to this place, and we'll all be in paradise for a brief period of time. In the far future, I expect some of the older regulars to leave to go to real life tasks, and the Forum to go into a slump. I also see Homestar Runner, while remaining strong, dying slightly in popularity, and probably having a noticeable effect on the Wiki, its Fanstuff, and the Forum. I can also see some members migrating over to SI, but still visiting here as often as they used to. Finally, older admins and mods will come back and regularly post here: Seethroo, MHG, and Porple, to name a few. |

It seems like Seethroo has been getting on AIM more frequently as of late, so you never know for him; from what I've seen, I don't think even Porple cares about his website anymore; and MHG...uh...yeah...she's probably gone. D:

There will be too many members, users will have to start sharing accounts, we'll soon be calling some ramrod/Acekirby, it'll all just turn into mutation... Too many threads will be made for current events in the field of entertainment and soon a seperate forum will pop up for all of them... Rehabilitation centers for users who are being disliked by many will soon come into view, threads being made simply for the sake of 'you're being too much of a drama llama, and the sane people of this forum will guide you back, as teachers... People will start having video sigs, showing a certain setting, perhaps a camera into their own life, showing their home... And perhaps...lower titles for everyone? Not making everyone mods, just making neat-o lower titles as a regular user feature. Okay, so I may have went a little nuts there, but I'm just thinking conspiracy, conspiracy, conspiracy. |

Once the Acetatorship is established, I will begin an underground guerrilla society that will attempt to overthrow it throw tactics such as trying to start a forum bowling league. Ace will catch wind of us and stomp us out of existence, but we will rise again. However, we will never reach our former glory, and will accomplish nothing more than a resurgence of the "In Soviet Russia" game with an Acetatorship theme. |

I was thinking more along the lines of a complete revelation;the whole forum will suddenly burst ablaze with hellfire, destroying the forum. But do not fear, as ugly as things will look, an unlikely hero, The Great Clapper, will come to somehow put out the enormous blaze and save the lives of me, Ace, Ramrod, Cola, iand93, Rusty, Capt, BTG, and one or two other people. With Ace to safety, the Acetatership will begin, oh how it will begin. |
