Post subject:  The 2008 Summer Forum Awards - Voting Ended
It's a tradition like no oth- eh, screw it.

The Forum Awards have changed quite a bit, so I'd suggest reading over this carefully.

NOTICE AS OF JULY 5th:
You can find information on voting in these awards HERE.

Nominations are officially over with, and voting begins at this time. This post is really important if you're going to vote, so please read over it.

  • To vote, you must Private Message me with a post subject related to the awards.
  • In this PM, you must select one nomination in each category that you feel best suits the award. For some copy+paste BBCode, see here (it should open up in Firefox as a plain text file). The format you vote in can differ as long as it's readable and has one selection per category. (EDIT: Category 33, Official Forum TV Show, comes up as Most Clueless User in this copy+paste. Please adjust it accordingly.)
  • You may skip voting in several categories. Please try to not skip any more than four categories, though.
  • I will be voting in these, as well. Beyond that, I will not alter the votes at all.
  • Feel free to provide explanations to your votes if you want to. This is entirely optional, though.
  • Voting ends on July 14th, so try to vote as soon as possible!
  • If you have any other questions, please ask me.

The Times:
  • Nominations began on Monday, June 16, 2008 at 12 AM EST
  • Nominations ended on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 12 AM EST
  • Voting began on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 12 AM EST
  • Voting ends on Monday, July 14, 2008 at 12 AM EST
  • The awards will be counted and presented sometime after that.

The Rules:
  1. You may NOT nominate OR second yourself for anything. However, you may vote for yourself.
  2. You may be nominated for any number of categories, but you may only be nominated twice in each category. You may also only win awards in four categories altogether. If you end up winning more than four awards, the four given to you will be the ones won by the largest margin of votes and the runner-up will win the others. (meh)
  3. You may nominate up to three things per day, but they must each be in different categories. You may second as many things as you want per day, but only three times per post. If you break this rule, then only the first three nominations or seconds of yours will be counted. Oh, and users recently banned can be nominated for things.
  4. For the first week of nominations (June 16 - June 23 June 27), you may nominate new categories for these awards. These will need to be seconded by three people. No categories may be removed once they're nominated for.
  5. There is no limit on the number of categories this has.
  6. I will try to post the current standings (in a more neat format than previous awards) every day. If there is a time when I'm away, I will attempt to get another person to post the standings. They may post the standings in any format they'd like.
  7. Do not start drama in these awards. If you do, then you'll be disqualified from this.
  8. Do not promote either yourself or others in these awards. This includes in posts, avatars, signatures, locations, etc.
  9. When voting time comes, you must vote in almost all of the categories in your PM to me for it to be counted. By "almost all", I mean that you may skip one or two of the categories in your vote to me.
  10. These rules are subject to change as my memory returns.

  • Red categories are for full categories; they cannot have anymore confirmed nominations in them under normal circumstances.
  • Dark blue categories are for categories that have been added by users after the start of these awards.
