Well, discuss the general population of Comics. Except Manga, because Manga is not comics nor novel, its sin.

One of my personal favorite comics is MARMADUKE.

^ Manga is good you fool

It turned Pokemon from complete fail into best win

Also as far as newspaper comics go, my favorites are Pearls Before Swine, Sherman's Lagoon, The Duplex, and The Flying McCoys. I really liked Big Top, but that ended a while ago.

I don't read the newspaper comics anymore. I do occasionally steal one of my dad's Calvin and Hobbes or Far side books for a while.

Also, graphic novels are pretty cool. I've only read Watchmen and The Dark Knight Returns, but those were pretty dang awesome.

My favorite "retired" comics are definitely Calvin and Hobbes, The Far Side, and Bloom County.

Calvin and Hobbes and The Far Side should be on everyone's favorites list. No exceptions.

I just read a bunch of my dad's old Legion of Super Heroes comics from 1989, including the Great Darkness Saga. 3,000,000,000 evil Supermen is automatically EPIC!

He is right.
Anyone who does not appreciate these comics shall be beaten senselessly with both The Revenge of the Babysat and The Curse of Madame C.

I read Superman: Red Son a while ago. The concept alone is awesome, they didn't even need to make it a comic book.

Foxtrot is the best comic.

Anyway, Calvin and Hobbes, as is pretty much universally known, is the greatest syndicated comic ever made. I liked Garfield a lot when I was younger, dumbness aside, and still like it a bit, though mostly because of nostalgia. Foxtrot, however, is probably my favorite current comic; I can relate to a lot of it, and it's just overall clever. Honorable mention goes to Pearls Before Swine. Dumb from time to time, but just as often they'll make a strip far above their usual quality, too.

Manga makes Yu-Gi-Oh! totally bad***. I don't read it though or any manga.

There's comics of the Boondocks? Must see...

You're saying the Pokemon anime is good?

I pity you.

Unless you mean the video games, but that would be a stupid point to argue because anyone can see they are good.

Didn't the Pokemon manga come before the anime, though? I don't know; I'm not enough of a nerd to look at timelines of the pokemon series.

I'm not sure, but I think in the Pokemon Manga, Misty is some big breasted babe that Ash swoons over.

Ash isn't even in the real, good manga (Pokemon Special or whatever it's called)

The main character is a guy named Red. He goes on many an epic adventure and Team Rocket are great villains.

EDIT: Wikipedia Page

Oh yeah, It's Superman was very awesome, though I was annoyed that...

Oh, and Calvin and Hobbes is timeless. I'm always kinda sad reading the last comic... "It's a magical world, Hobbes. Let's go exploring!"

DAMN YOU! I just spent the last 30 minutes or so looking through the whole Boondocks history, even going through the parallels to real life events.

Any Scott Pilgrim fans? Who knew something so mundane could be so awesome! (Though it is set in a video game world and there is a bit of fighting...)

I've recently become a big Pearls Before Swine fan. The crocs crack me up:"Hulloooo, Zeeba Neighba!" I also love Calvin and Hobbes and Garfield.

Seriously, they manage to fill 1.5 pages up with crap. But I do have a bunch of Far Side books, which is awesome.

The Far Side is hit or miss for me.
Calvin and Hobbes always wins.
And I used to read Boondocks! Then I watched the TV show and I was like "Where did this come from?"
