I should get me some of that.

BTW, Bittorrent is awesome for comic books.

You're saying the Pokemon anime is good?

I pity you.
When someone says "Pokémon" without specifying which form, I just assume they are referring to the original on which everything else is based: the video games. Shoulda specifically mentioned the anime (which is occasionally OK, in my opinion.)

Just out of curiosity (not to find who should be burned at the stake or anything), is there anyone here who doesn't like Calvin and Hobbes?

I've always wanted to read me some Deadpool, only I've never ever bought comic books, nor do I have the desire to try.

I liked garfield about ten years ago. Those were good days. They weren't so bad then.

Has anyone here ever attempted to read Marvel's Ultimate books?
They're awful. Every time I try to read them, I cringe. So I gave up.
Ultimate Spiderman was the worst...

I heard that it is actually good compared to the crap they do in the real Marvel canon.

"the last 30 years of spider-man? never happened"

"you know how we have 3000 mutants? let's bring that down to like 20"

"hulk never killed anybody ever because I SAID SO"

From what I understand (having only read the wikipedia article, not the books) is the Ultimates basically a do-over for all of that? They treat it like "okay, we've done this too many times and screwed everything up. Time for a clean slate."

Yeah pretty much.

It goes into really intricate details about the main characters... the personal life of their secret identities and things like that.
I don't attest to learning more about them, but to make a whole new comic for that just seems silly to me.
Ultimate Iron Man wasn't bad, but I would undoubtedly prefer reading Iron Man.
Also, comic books are just formatted for change. It is weird to have no continuity in one issue, and then all of a sudden someone says "Oh I remember that happening!" but it's just the way comics are written.

^That's not what I mean though. What I mean is that Marvel used a plot device to delete 30 years of Spider-Man so he wouldn't be married.

And comic book deaths! I'm glad Capt. is dead.

The one where the crocs form a corporation called "Eetazeeb" and they walk around in a box that looks like a tiny building.

The new Legion of Super Heroes comics are a little confusing. Usually people stayed dead, but now...

Oh, and I read Justice Society of America: The Liberty Files. I was like, "What the ****?!" when it was revealed that...

Eh, not really. Crisis actually dramatically changed the history of the regular DC universe. Also it's really, really complicated. Ultimate Marvel is meant to be an alternate reality with no bearing on the original universe.

Oh, I haven't read that one yet. I did recently buy Da Brudderhood of Zeeba Zeeba Eata, though.

It would be totally great if tomorrow's PBS is just a blank white rectangle. Because there's no one to draw it.
Or maybe Rat tries drawing it himself and it looks terrible or something. I dunno.

The "twist" I was talking about was him killing of the character of himself.

What was "uncalled for" what his killing of rat yesterday.
