Frederic Chopin is my favorite composer and I believe the oboe is tragically underutilized in general.

Rachmaninoff is definitely the best romantic composer. He is also one of the best piano composers. He is officially awesome. His etudes-tableux for piano are awesome as well.

This is my favorite piece of classical music ever. Every video of it on YouTube has people playing it too fast, though.

EDIT: Here's a version on YouTube where they're not playing it as if the concert hall is burning down.

Dun, dun, dun, DUNNN!

If Beethoven can't be called a genius, I don't know who can. I'm also fond of Haydn and a few of Vivaldi's works.

I'm partial to Bolero.

One long, long crescendo. Pretty neat.

That's pretty cool, but that poor, poor snare drummer. That's gotta take huge dynamic control.

Bolero is one of my all time favorite pieces.

It's a tricky piece for everyone (except the bass line, which is ridiculously easy), but the drummers probably get the worst of it.

I can't even begin to comprehend how they got any dynamic control with that two fingered grip they were using. I guess that's what people used in the olden days before they figured out that utilizing all five fingers is better than not?

I've tried sightreading that piece, and it seems quite easy at first, so I would understand why you would want to play it fast. But it's still good.

Personally I think the second player does it too slow, while the first plays it too fast.
