I also do requests! Tell me what animation you wish me to rip off, what toon (or SB e-mail) and if it's not too long, I'll make it.

Except this has nothing to do with that game? I mean, maybe he wanted to make avatars that WEREN'T part of a competition and were instead just designed to be for general usage?

You, sir, continue to irritate me to absolutely no end.

Was this a contribution to the topic or just a prediction? Does this mean that if you expect a topic to be locked in the future, you can post uncontributing remarks on it?

Well anyway, those animations are good quality, Doc.

Neither. He's been at the "Avatar Competition" monopoly for a long time. As for you, Zaius, excellent job! Though this probably could have done more use in the many "Request an avatar!" things, congratulations! What did you use to make them?

Oooh, controversy, me likey!

Anyway, to answer your question, strange azure guy, alls I did was play the SWF files for "Your Friends" and, um, I forgot what e-mail the jumping thing was from. That way, I could stop the movie via the right-click "play" selection. Then, I shrank the browser screen down to the size I wanted it, and took a screenshot. On Image Ready, I pasted it in the size thingy I made. Then, back to the flash file, I clicked "forward" to get the next frame. Print screen, paste, forward. Over and over, until I had the full animotion. Then, to make it nicer, I stroked a one pixel width black border around it.

Zaius, I think the avatars are great; unfortunately they cannot be used on this forum, as they are both greater than 10kb, which is the moderator-imposed limit on this forum (including off-site avatars). If you could size them down a bit, I'd love to see them used.

And No_loafing, expect a PM from me in about two minutes.

Hmm, that is going to be tricky. I don't suppose you know how I can reduce the file size, do you?

And there is no possible way that one dude's avatar with the floating head blasting the baby is under 10KB!

I'm not sure about ImageReady, but Fireworks has a great export wizard thing, in which you can specify the exact type (like, GIF WebReady as opposed to GIF 25000) of file, as well as a target file size. If you don't have Fireworks, I'd suggest you try the demo for this (or just find a stand-alone image file reducing application).
