This is a thread to share stories about when Windows was in infancy and (before that) EGA cards were out and the Macintosh was introduced.

(Basic Timeframe: 1970-2001)

I still have my old computer I ran DOS through Windows 98 SE on. It has a hideously slow 133 Mhz processor with the "Turbo" button.

I used my old computer the other day to play some of my older games.

My OLD PC:
486 DX2 66 Mhz with pentium overdrive chip
12 MB Ram
540 MB hard drive
2 MB Video card
4X Cd-Rom drive
Windows 3.11 and 95
15 inch monitor
Orchid Soundwaves 32 Sound Card
3.5" Drive
5.25" Drive...
Man, I remember when that thing used to be the envy of the neighborhood geeks (ok, so there were only 3 of us. ok, so there were only 3 kids my age in my neighborhood)

We used to stay up late nights playing games like Ultima, Tony LaRussa Baseball, Wing Commander, Links 386, Monkey Island, Return to Zork, Myst, Police Quest, Sam and Max Hit The Road, Master of Orion, Full Throttle, and my favorite, Strike Commander (The game that only came out about a year and a half late!).
