Yuck. If I want a chocolate cerial, I'll by Cocoa Pebbles. They're pretty good. |

If you want chocolate for breakfast, try nutella, or chocolate croissants. |

When you get toast there, they ask you if you want jelly, or nutella. And, chocolate croissants are much better with the German chocolate. |

This is Off-Subject Discussion. Meaning nothing related with H*R discussion. I also hate when companies force fake products on you. Like Stop and Shop brand stuff. Yuck. |

Those products are usually better than the name brands. Normally they're cheaper than name brands and they have to have higher quality if they hope to compete, whereas normal brands don't really have to do much, beacasue people buy them just because they're popular. I hate the cheapness of many prefabricated furniture items. There was this one laundry rack My sister and I were trying to put together, and it didn't even fit right. Some pieces were too lose, others impossible to get into place, and the whole thing was unstable. |

I'm on a rant about Kidz Bop, thanks to Jesty. Come on. No one wants to hear kids 8-12 years old sing pop music. Seriously. It's just annoying. I have NO IDEA how in the world they got 8 Albums of that. That's the worst thing ANYONE could sell out to. |

I wrote my own rant awhile back about the questionable content of some of the songs found on Kidz Bop records. Messed up. And, Acekirby, those companies are not "forcing" anything on you, and Black Metal is right: anybody who pays 50% more for an identical product just because it has a name brand attached to it is a fool. Did you know that many of the generic "big bag" breakfast cereals you see at the supermaket are prepared in the same factories on the exact same production lines as their "little box that costs a fortune" counterparts? The same goes for lots and lots of generic products. Don't waste your money (or your parents' money) on a name. |

I know that so well, I work at a grocery store and I tell people all the time to get the "big bags" but nobody listens to the "stupid" Stock Boy.

My biggest cereal gripe: No matter how you buy it, granola costs a fortune. *sigh* |

Baja, PeanutButterCups, Icees, Subway (Sandwiches), Butterfingers, Taco Bell, Animal Forest for Gamecube, Baseball, release dates for films or games that are not months behind Japan and the USA and so much more. We do now! Well I think so. I'm in the UK but not in england and we have them here. In the N of I(Nothern. Ireland) anyway. |

Ah, but England has a little sandwich shop on every block, and what you find at those places is soooo much better than anything you'll ever find at Subway. I miss English sandwich shops. |

Okay, bad choice of words. I just prefer the brand names because of one simple fact. THEY TASTE BETTER. The "same" products are obviously not the same. There is a major difference in taste. Of course, you also get the other end of the spectrum, where the little brands beat the crap out of the big cereal brands. |

Of course, you also get the other end of the spectrum, where the little brands beat the crap out of the big cereal brands. Actually, I saw study on this. Well, a study is a strong word. I saw a TV show trying this theory out. They had like 12 products and their store-brand clones out on a table, and loads of people came by and tried different things. The people told which one they preferred, and which one they thought was the store brand. For 8 of the things, the store brand was preferred. For 2 of the things, there was no preference/difference, and for the last 2 things, the real brand was preferred to the store brand. I thought it was interesting, but it really makes me wish that I had some chart to tell what store brand things are as good as the brand ones. I remember the store brand chips ahoy failed miserably compared to their counterpart, but I don't remember what else is better when it's the real deal. |

I think you're wrong. Obviously some generic products will be worse, (just like some brand-name products are worse) but that's the exception to the rule*. Maybe they taste different, but they're really, truly just as good 90% of the time. P.S. Generic pop is a big exception. Not good. |

I haven't had a store brand food in a long time, and I remember it as being terrible. Perhaps if I try it, I'll think it's better. You have to admit that they taste different, however, because they do. And by generic pop, do you mean "Grape" soda? Because I like that. But to each his own, I guess. |
