New Fancy Salt and Pepper Shakers.

WHO in the Freaking Crap came up with the idea of putting the opening on the BOTTOM of them?? Take a look sometime! Notice those holes on top? Well, that's where the Salt and Pepper come out, right? Well, if you put the opening on bottom, guess what! When you go to fill them, the salt and pepper are going to spill out and make a Freaking Mess All Over My Freaking FLOOR!!

Why couldn't you just make the opening very discreet on the top? It would make my life a whole freaking lot easier!!

Errrm, didn't you put that in Pet Peeves?
Is it a double post if you post the same thing in different topics? :p

I don't like the new Brush Ups (can't remember who makes them).
Like fingers from a glove which you put on your finger and brush your teeth with. No brushes, no toothpaste.
Let's juse say you're running late for work, you don't have 2 minutes to spare to clean your teeth.
Just put a handy Brush Up in your pocket and clean your teeth on the bus, with the admiration of the on-lookers.
"That man has brains", they whisper to each other.

I will whisper "That man is a fool".

Plus, it would cost the same (or even less) to buy a cheap toothbrush and toothpaste as getting a pack of those stupid things.

has anyone noticed how dumb toys and commercials have been getting over the years? the toys theve been making up are getting so dum! like that "cold nose kiss puppy" and that "amazing amanda" that says "I love you more than bunnies!!!" and all they can think of is toys about dogs and cars that kill gorrilas! i wish i could have been twelve when toys were cool and dangerous... those old toys sound so cool.

Oh, they were. We played with sharp things that made noise and shot things across the room and we didn't have to wear helmets for everything we wanted to do.
We didn't have many cool electronic toys, though, only creepy ones like Teddy Ruxpin. So, you younger types lucked out there.

Toy comercials are stupid. They seem to be more over exagerated than they use to.

I don't know. The commercials were pretty exaggerated when I was a kid, too.

Anyone else remember that thing on HBO where they showed how they made commercials and how they were "fake"? It was a LOOOOooooong time ago. I think the New Kids on the Block were just starting to get big.

I think the thing that's bugging me the most these days is those stupid Burger King commercials for that bacon ranch burger. They're so freaking annoying, it makes me want to eat a Burger King less.

Their commercials have always been annoying. Especially that dude in that king mask.

If I were on the rafters of a highrise under construction, and he sneaked up on me, more than likely I would have pushed him off.

I haven't eaten at burger king since i worked there at the age of 16. So, thats 5 years.

Although I find The King a little creepy, like how he once wound up in the same bed as another guy, he is kinda funny in that creepy way. Mostly for the parodies on YTMND.

i hate ads for McDonalds. no, i hate McDonalds. the happy meals, the ad has some screnshots from the movie, some little brats running around the restaurant with their new block of plastic, and 1.5 seconds of the actual food. "who cares our food is addictive and fatting, it comes with a toy! and you mothers who are too afraid your kid will throw a tantrum, buy this!"

that also applies to cereals. bright colors, bottom shelf, it's all the toddler can see. the mothers with no backbone won't say "no, you can't have it," they are too scared their spoiled brat will throw a tantrum in the supermarket.

Agreed. They always break for me and the things that hold the cd in place always ends up breaking so the CD slides all over the place.

It is charged by solar power, and the energy is stored until you need to use it. So you can use it in the dark.

Go science!

Wireless extension chords would have to transfer a lot of enegry through the air. What if you happened to get in between the out and input? You'd get fried.

Well, that depends how the energy is transferred. If it's just a big electrical spark, then yes, walking through it would be bad for your health. But it doesn't have to be.

One thing that it could be is radio waves, or microwaves, or something similar. Walking through the beam would still be dangerous (given the high power) but not immediately life-threatening. Just pretty darn close. A computer, for example, draws about 300-400W or so. Because the reciever wouldn't be 100% efficient, the beam would have to be even higher powered than that. A low-powered microwave, about 700W, can boil a cup of water in 30 seconds - that's what it'd be like to stand in the beam...

Incidentally, we've had this discussion before.

As for solar-powered lights, Solar panel -> Light bulb is indeed stupid, but Solar panel -> Rechargable batteries/Capacitors/whatever -> Light bulb is less silly.
Let it charge during the day, and then discharge it when you use it at night.

There was an inventor once...his last name was telsa or something...Well, instead of power cords running everywhere, he wanted to transfer the electricity through the air. I have no idea how that went, but I assume not spectacular.

Yes, Nikola Tesla. One of his ideas was wireless power transmission.

He also tried to develop a system in which you could just plug something into the ground, since the Earth is a conductor.

I agree. Solar flashlight are stupid. I mean, just use the battery-powered ones. They're not that different.
