Greetings, everyone.

Most likely you all don't know who I am, unless you've checked the "Getting to Know You" forum, (in which case you may still not know much more about me.) Anyway, my name is Chris and I'm a humble actor/writer in my spare time.

Over the last year and a half, I've been working hard on a two-man (uh...two-person) sketch comedy television show with my girlfriend, currently airing locally in northwest Florida, entitled "Insert Disc Two."

We've also just broadcast our first episode ("Sorry for the Interruption") on our (still somewhat under construction) website.

If anyone is interested in watching, we'd sure love some constructive criticism, or at least an audience.

The first episode (shot in Pensacola, FL) is available for viewing at http://www.insertdisctwo.com
We're trying to go for a sort of balance of smart comedy, absurdity, and good ol' fashioned oddness. (Think Monty Python or the Kids in the Hall written by a pair of nerdy college students who play video games.)

Please feel free to give any feedback, good or bad, we need it. All we ask is that you are tactful with your comments and don't just say, "You suck!" (Ditto for praising comments.)

Well, that's about it. Enjoy the show and hopefully you'll laugh at at least something.

(UPDATE: The forums are now up and running. Drop on by!)

Thanks,
Chris Dunkle (aka. Arthur Dent)

It's interesting and all, but I have to ask: did you sign up here just to plug your sketch comedy show?

Not to be rude, since you seem sincere, but we have rules against that.

No, no, of course not.

(Although I could see how it may look like that, what with this being my second post and all.)

Actually, I am, of course, a genuine Homestar addict. I just brought up my site as it was the first thing on my mind and thought it'd give a bit of introduction to me.

I'd like to start posting here quite regularly.

Back to the topic, thanks for the kind words everyone. It's really appreciated.

Hi,

I enjoyed the Purple Rocks skit, the Joke skit, the Silent Movie skit and the Tom Jones skit. The Anchorman skit was also quite good. The rest of the show was a bit strange or seemed to forced in its acting, especially the World Taker Over skit (nice idea) and the Lolly Pop skit (although that Celine Dion comment was great!)
Good job over all and it can only improve from here on!

I only watched the first third or so, because I kept getting distracted by, er, work. But I nearly laughed out loud at the Celene Dion bit.

It definitely needs some polishing, and feels a bit derivative (but maybe that's a side-effect of the format -- how many different ways are there to do sketch comedy?), but I think you've got something good in there, somewhere.

My favourite kind of sketch comedy is totally random comedy. Like Monty Python or Not the nine o'clock news.

Agreed with the above. Good luck.

I loves me this show! My favorite sketch has to be "Annoying People or Yogurt?". Very random...and that's alright with me. :D

Right, just don't start drooling.

Thanks. Personally, I think your sketch show is really funny. Not just funny, but funny. You know, that kind..... Right................. I'm such a loser. :p

Say "Hi" to Ford Prefect for me.
