The latest episode rocked. The part with the Burger King was great. He creeps me out, as well.

Um, only it wasn't that great of an episode. Though perhaps I expected too much in the way of plot revelations. I thought they were gonna reveal that Evil was Jessica, and/or what June's deal is.

I saw it about 10 minutes ago!

Yeah, I'm not sure if Jessica left or not.(Jessica is evil? WTC?)

June wants to be the only female character, and threrefore either:

a. Killed Rya directly and easily.
b. Hired a hitman to take her out.

I guess it was good.

I'm not sure about the last bit, but she's definitely involved...before Ryaconning, a majority of the main characters were female. Now it's half-and-half, and June's been involved in both Rya's death and Jessica's departure. (In case you're wondering, I count Phil, Joel, Elly, Rya, Jessica, Cassidy, Andrew, and June as main characters.) Also, she suggested that Elly should leave the show in Flame Wars, so I think she IS trying to get rid of all the females by pretty much any means necessary.

Though this brings up an interesting point. In Ryaconning, Rya was trying to exit the simulation--which is what Jessica did. In that case, why did she need to be killed?

THE PLOT THICKENS.

Anyhoo, about the episode...I'm not sure. On one hand, it was definitely roffle-worthy, and we find out what Jessica was doing there in the first place. On the other hand...I dunno. Something just seemed lacking. Still, it was a pretty good episode--I think it was better than Flame Wars.

Well obviously now we know she isn't - unless Evil mysteriosuly disappears forever too. But she was my choice as well as many people's on the BS board.

I've begun to think that Andrew and June in fact wanted Rya to exit the simulation, and that Cloak was working against them when he killed her. It may tie into the haunting secret that Phil will find when he travels to the past. Popular speculation has this secret being involved with the ending of GRUFFO - in which Rya was seen outside the simulation.

edit: VV precisely! They could have been trying to wreak destruction in the real world.

Perhaps Rya, upon exit, could've destroyed the simulation, and therefore, uhh...done something....

We could always assume that June and possibly Andrew didn't foresee Rya dying. Still, it got June's purpose done, so she didn't really care.

So does BSWiki.

Well, this episode completely debunks my "Jessica is Evil" theory. Oh well. And did anyone find it odd that it was Slim, a minor character, who saved June? I thought it would have been like...Elly or Andrew.

I thought this episode was okay, but now I'm really irked that Phil and Cassidy won't get along.

It doesn't matter; Phil'll never find anyone. It's just Matt Wilson flipping the bird at a sit-com cliché, like always.

Well, he's only had three girls that I know of (I'm not counting Serenade, because he's not a lady-type) that actually seemed to have feelings for him...and two of them (Rya and his old girlfriend (the one Donald killed)) are dead, so that's out of the question. There's still Cassidy, but really...I don't think she's right for Phil. She just seems too bubbly to be the girlfriend of cynical, depressive Phil. I don't think it would work out.

Well, there's still June. Remember High Score? And Phil's Crazy-*** Journey? Eh, but she's evil.

I kind of want Elly to like Phil, but I wouldn't really want them to go out. Just because I pity him.

One day early... or six days late, as Matt had promised it would be out last week to make up for Flame Wars taking three weeks.

Any new ideas for who Evil is? I have one, but it's, shall we say... radical. But there are some strange ideas flying at the wiki so who knows.

^not Evil 1, foo. Get with the program. Elly said she's not Evil anymore.

No, Cassidy was inside talking to June when the guys were fighting Evil in episode 78.
My theory hinges on a key line of dialogue from Flame Wars: "But I've...always wanted to take over the show, ever since I was a hastily-scrawled afterthought on the series bible." This line struck me as odd, since Evil was NEVER an "afterthought" - he was meant to be a major villain from High Score's inception. This leads me to believe that Evil's true identity is an old, obscure character, one who never got very far. And I can think of one obscure character who fits Evil's style to a T: Candice Jones.
I'm not the first to think this either.

I think I've developed a new June theory.

Maybe she isn't evil, maybe she's trying to save everyone from whatever it is that's going to happen in episode 100 by getting them to leave the simulation. Rya's death would have been an unforeseen setback in this case. She obviously knows what's going on, but maybe she isn't an enemy. You never know...

No, I just spend too much time pondering plot details that probably have little relevance. And browsing the wiki. Also it helps to be an older-school fan (note that some of my theory is based on knowledge of what would have happened in High Score).

Interesting. It does seem odd that June would suddenly be evil, since in the past she was characterized as being calm and caring - well, we don't see a lot of that, but that's why you have to die to kill her in Robo Rya. I still think she is evil, though, if only because of this:
Image
She may have been reprogrammed by Andrew to help him with whatever he's planning. (The whole not-really-a-robot thing is surely a red herring, since she very clearly is one in past episodes.)

Well, it could just be that she got fed up with everyone ignoring her. It's pretty obvious that nobody really cared about or noticed her in the past. But you never really know, do you? That Matt Wilson may seem like a guy trying to get a cheap laugh, but he certainly has a lot up his sleeve.
