Darling HR Wiki Board, we really have to stop meeting -- er, posting like this. This incessant scanning-n-quoting is driving my freshly-Lasiked eyes to bogglified distraction. InterruptorJones wrote: Bah! I lift weights 126 times a week! And I drive a hugenormous pickup truck with big tires! Arrrrg! Surely you know that those big truck guys are only compensating for something. Didymus wrote: AND you like Anime, too! Christa, why couldn't you have lived in St. Louis? Sighhh! Because I also like perfect weather and smoke-free living and great access to really good Japanese food? And sales tax, and toothpick people, and ... expensive real estate ... hmm. You may have a point. ModestlyHotGirl wrote: Why do guys get the long eyelashes while we have to suffer with mascara? It's not fair. My boyfriend has 'em too, but they don't go down to his knees.
Perhaps more boys SHOULD wear mascara, if only to spread the vintage Bowie love. *rock star crickets* |

The Bowie look has more power than you know... Many a girl has fallen prey to a makeupped man. Take Billie Joe, for example. Mmm. |

or any member of an '80's hair metal (retch) band. They pancaked that crap on. They wore more make-up that most girls I know. |

All I'm sayin' is that rocker boys who ain't afraid to wear the occaisional dose of makeup can be awfully cool. MHGs and Queenies don't lie. Just don't stab yourself in the eye with a mascara wand, like ramrod said. That hurts like a ... a ... actually, I can't quite think up a proper enough allegory for how much that hurts. Like a thing which hurts too much. |

I hgave yet to see one rocker boy that wore makeup and looked cool. It's like, the same as Bush43 being able to pronounce nuclear and other type words right. Never going to happen.

Well. You say tomato, I say tohmahtoe. I just happen to find both bookish types and outlandish types to be the most "interesting" types, I suppose. (Although I don't really know how I feel about all this "type" stuff. Limitations, bah ... but I digress.) This is probably why I was so amused by the character of Spike on ye olde Buffy, because he happened to be a shy nineteenth century poet turned into Billy Idol-like vampire. Mmmyes. But it's pretty sad when you have to turn to cancelled fiction to find your allegories, so -- I saw an indie rock band play hereabouts last month, one which was decidedly NOT goth in tone, nature, or dress, and yet the lead singer-guitarist had his fingernails painted black. Et voila. Tohmahtoe. |

Some, small amount isn't to bad, but when there's more makeup than skin on them, then there's a problem. |

I was in the school play for the last two years of high school and they made me wear make-up (SHUT UP RAMROD) but I sweated it off before the end of the first scene. |

Are you kidding? Hundreds of girls, pent up in a single building, void of all male contact, unless you count the teachers? That's a gold mine!! Unless you want a relationship. Then....maybe not so much. |

Yeah, I'm talking about an actual relationship, not some other type stuff. |

I come to you people with a problem of my own (Ramrod can't have all the fun). 'Tis a girl, one that's a high 15 on a cuteness scale of 1-10. I finally sorted through all the crazy thoughts I've been having for months now and I've come to the conclusion that I've liked her for a few months but I was too buisy with school/scared to say anything. So about 3 or so days ago I have the good fortune to sit next to her in biology (we were both displaced by desk stealing pig-people!)and we get to talking and it only strengthens my resolve to tell her that I like her and try and get her before anyone else does. Her eyes alone are a strong reason to go out with her, man I could get lost in them if I stared for too long (they are a really pretty ice blue that go perfectly with her face). Now mind you that we've been flirting for most of 2005 but I wanted to know how to take things from friends/flirting to something more. EDIT: *dork alert wooop woooop* I wrote her a note telling her that I thought good of her and all the things that make her so awsome. Should I give it to her? |

First off, yes I can. Second off, you need to ask her as soon as you can. Trust me on this one from first hand experience, you want to ask her out before someone else does. I mean, what do you have to lose? |
