While that comment was aimed at ThatVGcatsAddict, it's sound advice from the Beatles.

I wonder if there's any Anti-Smoking 12 Step Programs out there. You could be like all, "Hi, I'm Modestly Hot Girl, and I'm a Tobaccoholic." And we could be like all, "Hi, Modestly Hot Girl!"

We were alone on friday outside for awhile
I was pretty sure she was gonna kiss me
but her brother was in the distance
i was touching ice-cold water attempting to get frostbite
she was kicking snow into the water
and just now i realise i like her
oh,i tried on a moodring yesterday,it turned green then blue then purple(purple is romance)
then i made my brother try it on,same thing
moral of the story
buying a mood ring from that store is a rip-off

Just an update:

The girl I was talking about, well, I talked to her...and she has a boyfriend... go figure...

Well at least you talked to her. That's the important thing. The disappointment of finding out is much quicker and less painful than the agony of never knowing.

Usually, in a situation like that, I say something like, "He's a very fortunate guy."

Yup, I totally agree with Didymus. While that sucks, Ramrod, aren't you glad you got the courage to talk to her? At least you got over that nervousness, and at least now you know so you won't be left pining for her. Well, summer is coming soon enough - maybe your restaurant will hire a cute new girl, or something.

Yeah, that is true...It was the first time I've actually talked to a girl and not wuss out. As for my work, I doubt that they'll hire a girl. They're not sexist or anythiung, but the job involves in a lot of physical labor, quite hard at time. And I'm not talking about washing the dishes, I'm talking about having to clean out the frylators. And besides, I haven't seen a girl apply there at all since I've been there.

I knew I saw something in that pic of you that made me think of that

As for me, I don't care. I have friends who smoke (sometimes more than tobacco) and my dad was a smoker till I was 5. All the suggestions I have is that if you and your Boyfriend (I'm speaking to Modestlyhotgirl) decide to quit at the same time make yourself scarce, lack-of-nicotiene freakouts are a cause of perfectly good relationships to go down the crapper.

Well Chrono, good luck. 12 is, admittedly a little young, but no one says you have to be real serious. Might be good to just ease into it, doesn't have to be a concrete border between "just friends" or :coachz: "more than friends"
Does anyone have a statistic as to how many people after a certain age stay single? Like full grown people? I thought it was 20%.

How is "Lech" pronounced anyway? "Leck" or "Leech" or what? Hadn't heard ofthe term til this thread.

My little story to add in here for anybody that may value from it:
(WARNING! Strong language)

There was this girl that I liked since the beginning of 8th grade (2003-2004 school year). Now, she just so happened to be in all my classes, whether that was a help or hindrance I dunno. But...I wouldn't say she was really hot but she was definitely above average. And she had brains to back it up (amazingly). To cut out over a year of obsession, I finally got the nerve up last summer to tell her myself what I thought of her. I almost avoided her for the first week or so of school because I had no freakin clue what to do. See, everything would have gone off eprfectly for me if it wasn't for this one guy she was always hanging out with. I won't hold back and will just go ahead and call him a pr*ck. Really. To the point where if I asked to talk to her privately he would think I was going for "pleasure" (if you get my drift). But he wasn't her boyfriend, just an idiot she hung out with. She was like his only real friend.
Now, it turns out that she told like, um...uh...2 people? Maybe? Or maybe they were just being awfully nice and not mentioning it. So I eventually got over her and am single not looking as of currently.

Morals:
- Don't freak and assume that everybody will find out if you like someone
- Girls tend to go for the a**hole
- I was a total idiot during those 16 months
- I suck at telling stories like the one above

Whoa! Hold your horses! This is a bit early for a dating relationship if you ask me. If she just has a crush on you... don't ignore her, yet, don't flirt with her. Stay in between. But basicly my advice is to not have a girl friend untill you are 15/16. (I'm 13)

As Lunch Box said it best on K-Rock, girls like the mean, you know what guys because they think that they can change them. And when they do, it's like their job is done. That's what happened to some guy that called in about it.

It's actually pronounced "letch", like rhymes with "fetch".

Coolguy, that's some good advice. But I think we've both been smoking so long that when we quit, we'll need some kind of nicotine supplement, like the patch. Even so, neither one of us will be that pleasant.

As for why girls go for sleazy guys: I don't know. That's never been a thing with me, anyway. Perhaps because I've been anti-drugs all my life, that may have steered me away from the wrong type of guy.
I think it all really comes back to the idea of impressing your friends. For some reason, the "rebels" are seen as attractive, and girls want to impress their friends by dating them. Also, at a younger age (about 13-15, I'd say) groups of friends all seem to have crushes on the same guy. To go against that would be sacreligious, or something.
All I can tell you, Beyond the Grave, is wait. Like I said before, sometime in the late-teens/early twenties, girls realize that they'd rather spend time with nice guys who treat them well.

And Ramrod, that's a good theory, but I think it applies more to grown women who keep getting into relationships with scummy guys.

12 is way too early, most relationships at that age are just for popularity.

Looks like somebody saw Mean Girls:rolleyes:

What scares me is how true Girl World is in either the movie or real life. I have band class with two other girls and they tell me everything that happens in girl world (Because I'm a nice guy and a good listener) and there's everything you could think of but my favorite is when one of them planted a bag of cat nip in one of her "Freind's" drawers and she got grounded for an undisclosed amount of time for having weed in her room.

Same girl, different avvy wrote:

I was good friends with a guy like that, he could get away with anything (think of Mark from "That was then, this is now"). That was the best year ever, I got so much attention from the fairer sex.

Actually, no, I'm just smart. :p

I haven't seen the movie because I never was one of those girls. I was the little punk girl with bleached-blonde hair, a leather jacket and a lunchbox who they all wanted to beat up. But they were too scared of my steel-toed Doc Martens to try. ;)
'Twas funny when, a couple years later, the whole "punk" style got popular, and I was looking at a bunch of clones of the 17-year-old me.

Anyway, yeah, girls are mean. That's why I found a few good ones and stuck with them. It's hard to find good friends in high school unless you want to talk about mascara or what's on sale at Le Chateau.

Yeah, posers suck big time. Some of them are really cute under all the eyeliner and black clothes but they are too afraid to show it.

Yeah, my hair has been pretty much every colour, except blue. It turned out green when I tried. But that was fun. My most recent hair experiment was black with blonde bangs. That was fun too, but it was growing out and I was too lazy to bleach it again so I just dyed it black. It's time for a change, though. If I can get my hands on some pink, that might be fun, but the store I used to buy my weird dye at no longer carries it, so I guess I'll have to order online.

The last time I saw it, it was a really dark brown, almost black, really. But that was a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away. I've been dyeing my hair for so long that I don't really remember. It was too boring for me to leave it natural, and my hair is so short that it doesn't ever get damaged, so I figure, why not?

My mom does that. I'm not really sure what her natural hair color is! It somewhat creeps me out that she can't remember her own hair color.

I've seen Mean Girls.

The most I've done with my hair is grow it out to about 7 inches, and then got it cut because my parents made me.

Maybe she's going gray and doesn't want anyone to know. My mom's hair is light brown, and she gets blonde highlights over her gray spots. I found 2 gray hairs last week! Gah. Turning 25 sucks.
