But hopefully he'll be cack soon and it will still be as great as ever.

He'll be cack, ramrod? Are you sure? I'm saddened.

Hey, look! There's Tor! Let's form an angry mob and attack him for not updating!

Well, I see nothing's sacred with you, eh? Steve.

Tor Might not be able to update till NL's done with whatever he's doing. Why don't one of you PM him and see how he's doing?

Post subject:  Why don't you?

Why don't you? I'm not your slave. Guy.

Does Tor really even need to wait for Lunch, though? They're covering two different parts of the story.

On a StarWars related note, my puppy goes to training classes with a puppy called Obi-Wan and another called Princess (after Leia, her other dog is Chewie..!)

Ironic. We gave our dog "Amidala" as a middle name, because her parents were named "Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight II" and "Princess Leia of Lillipod". Weird.

Not THEM doggies. I don't think they're related. At least I hope not.

You are not a true nerd unless you watch Star Wars, Star Trek or Lord of the Rings. yeah the anime site makes you a quasi-nerd but you need to watch at least one of those.

Uh.
There are a lot more creepy stuff than that. Have you ever seen Not another teen movie? She actually wanted to do it with her brother. That is creepy.

You seem to lead a very sheltered life, Dormar.

know, know....hey, aren't we getting a little off topic?

Author:  The Experimental Film [ Sat May 14, 2005 4:18 am ]
Post subject:  Kinda.

Kinda. We went from Star Wars to dogs to creepy movies to what you watch and don't watch.

Back on subject: I just finished watching The Phantom Menace, which is why I'm up so late. Prooty good, though Yoda still looks like a Muppet.

Yeah, really off topic. How about we quit posting here until Star Lech is updated.

So you post here, even though yo read what she said. But NL's back, and has said that he's going to try to start this back up.

Yeah, and it wasn't really a suggestion. It was more of a Mod-telling-everyone-what's-up kinda thing.

Yeah, about that: I lied.

Continue with the pointless discussion. Ignore the robot, nothing to see here.

Guh?

No more STAR-LECH?

Author:  Naked_Lunch [ Sat May 21, 2005 12:55 am ]
Post subject:

Possibly. I'm in the process of writing a novel right now so I've got to do a lot of work in order to pay the bills unil it's done. Can't say when it'll be finished, so unless Tor wants to take complete control: Star-Lech is on a permanent hiatus.

Author:  The Experimental Film [ Sat May 21, 2005 1:16 am ]
Post subject:  Ooh.

Ooh. What's the novel about?

Can I be in it? It might influence me to buy it... ;)

No, sewiously. I'll give ya five bucks if you throw in a one-page character, a gamer named Zack. Well, maybe more than one page. Two?

The novel itself is post-apocalyptic, well, it's post-failed-civil-war-in-america. I'm too tired to explain it all right now (it's all very surreal and symbolic, lots of stream of conciousness, and passages of seemingly random gibberish that make sense as the story progresses etc.) but if you really must know, I'll pm you with the details or something.

Author:  The Experimental Film [ Sat May 21, 2005 1:22 am ]
Post subject:  I think..

You don't have to explain it, but that means that it's an America in a world where the Confederates won the Civil War?

Cool. Tell me what the title is when it gets published.

No, an uprising happened in the northeastern area where I lived and the US goverment, in an attempt to contain the rebels, built a "berlin wall" around it and basically bombed it to hell and back. It became a shattered state and all that jazz, but the backstory really isn;t important for the kind of book it is.

While my book's prose style isn't exactly like it, here's a good example of what it reads like: http://www.gutenberg.org/dirs/etext03/ulyss12.txt
Note that my book isn't exactly like that, but it employs similar techniques (stream of consciouness and such).

Well, it sucks that Star-Lech won't continue for a while, but good luck on your novel NL.
