IF YOU DO NOT WANT SPOILERS, DON'T READ BEYOND THE FIRST HALF OF THE SECOND PAGE OF THIS THREAD!

I didn't see a topic devoted to this yet, so I figured I would start one up.

Posted today on slashdot...

SlashDot wrote:
"StarWars.com has unveiled three TV spots for STAR WARS: EPISODE III: REVENGE OF THE SITH!" The three spots are shorter than the longer trailer that has been seen earlier, and a little bit more pop action than the dark trailer that gave me hope

Here are the links to the new spots. (requires Quicktime)

Spot 1
Spot 2
Spot 3

Looks interesting (just hope it's an improvement from the previous 2)

I did not care for these at all.

I really liked the theatrical trailer, but these TV spots are.. bad.

I have no sound here at work... so I can't give a complete review of how I felt...

But just from the graphics, they don't look half bad (although it has entirely too little Natalie Portman)

It's mostly the voice-over that's bad, so you may be better off without sound.

I think these are aimed at the tween/family market, whereas the theatrical trailer was more aimed at the adult/fan market. The TV spots have a Spy Kids kind of feel to them.

And I totally agree about the unfortunate lack of hot grits, er, Natalie Portman.

I know nothing of Star Wars, yet I want to see this. I'm probably just trying to be cool, though. I don't think it's working, either.

That voice-over was extremely bad! I definitely liked the theatrical trailer and the darker TV spot better.

I haven't watched the spots Stu posted yet, as the man of the house is still sleeping.

But YAY FOR STAR WARS! Man, I'm so excited. Only one month left!

Freakin' Entertainment Weekly, though, printed a horrible spoiler that I couldn't avert my eyes from quickly enough. Boo-urns.

I almost don't want to see it. Somehow the new movies were unable to capture the campy fun and epic struggle of the first three.

My brother started crying when I told him it would most likely be PG-13...
What I'm afraid of, is that our dopy little movie theatre wont have it! I might have to drive an hour to go see it. Darn this stupid town.

Too... many... Matt Groaning... references!!!

Though I am to be stoned for saying this, I did like Episode One a lot, but number 2 just killed it for me. I guess I can only hope that 3 will be grood.. though most hope is diminished from Hitchhiker's...

Also, while you're getting excited about Star Wars III, also look out for Firefly: Serenity (a movie based on one of the most awexomest sci-fi TV space shows ever done).

Actually, TFBM, "Bluh" is an Undergrads reference. Such a great show.

Today my boyfriend and I watched this extended trailer that he found on the Star Wars site (I just tried to find it on the site and couldn't :() and it was super awesome. I'm so excited! Only 2 weeks left!

I can't remember where, but I found a bunch of spoiler pictures. I doubt anyone will look at them, but I'll find 'em

If they're the same pics that were posted somewhere here before, they're no longer up. Methinks Lucas got wind of them. I looked at them, though, before they were taken down. My boyfriend refused to look, though. :)

I just uploaded the Revnge of the Sith soundtrack onto my iPod.

Unfortunately, I will not be going to the midnight showing of it, but only because of my stupid brother.
He told me that we were going to go see it together, and we had it planned out weeks ago. Then one day last week, he comes to me, and he says, "Sorry Brian, I can't go to see Star Wars with you because I'm driving to Las Vegas the next day."

I can understand if he was leaving on the 19th, and wanted some sleep, but why can't he go if he leaves on the 20th???

Maybe he just got confused and thinks it's at 12AM on the 20th? Like late-night on the 19th? That sucks, my friend.

What sucks even more is that there's a stupid bylaw in my town that won't allow for midnight shows. It also won't allow my bookstore to open at midnight to sell Harry Potter. Boo.

I don't know. All I know is that if I try to talk to him about it, he shoos me away.
So, whatever.
Like my dad says: "It'll be the same great movie a coupla days after it comes out too." I hate it when he says that.

Ugh, too bad I'm a kid and I can't go to a movie at midnight on a school-night.

I'm really excited about this film, and equally excited about the score, composed by John Williams! Image

So, who's hitting the midnight showing?

I've got my tickets (hooray for Fandango), and I'm taking off work tomorrow (I'm seeing it withs some friends out of town and driving back and making it to work tomorrow is out of the question, so it's Sith Flu for me). I watched Jedi last night, and today after work we're watching Clones. I've got my hoodie in case it's cold out (though I wish I had one that said "Sith Happens"). Am I forgetting anything?

Me me me me me me me!!!

Only 14 hours left... I'm going with my boyfriend and another friend of ours... He has a clone trooper helmet that they'll probably make me wear. It doesn't really have eye holes, though, so I may be injured.

We watched Episode II last night, so I could bring myself back up to speed. Gah! So much speculation, I can't wait...

I'm off tomorrow, and my boyfriend took tomorrow and Friday off work for subsequent showings. I hope we can make rent this month...

He makes you wear a clone trooper helmet when you go out? That is harsh. If I were him I'd have bought you a gold bikini long ago. :P

Now that's geeky. I heart paid vacation days.
