The gold bikini is somewhat of a fantasy, like Ross on Friends. I'll probably get one at my bridal shower, or something. And the days are paid, since he's on salary. But I'm worried that he'll go see the show so many times that he'll spend all his half of the rent. And about the helmet, they put a picture of my friend Dave & I (I was wearing the helmet) on Hot or Not, and me in the helmet got more votes than him |

Oh, I was wondering what this was about. Rawr. A few years ago a friend of mine put my hair (which, as you'll recall, was superlong) up in Leia-style buns. As perhaps won't surprise you, the effect wasn't quite the same. |

Woo! Well, it works for me now, for some reason. I think by posting that you've given nerds a whole new reason to watch Friends reruns. I just watched all the trailers and TV spots here, and I'm even more excited now. Only 10 1/2 hours! |

I would really like if you did not give away any of the plot until a week from now, or until I've seen it. If I hadn't seen a new Family Guy and you mentioned a few things I wouldn't care. But this is Star Wars. Even though I know that Anakin will become evil. I'm not stupid. |

Don't worry! I won't post anything fantastic. And I hope no one else will, either. I'll be patrolling this thread in watch of spoilers, and any spoilers will be delorted until a goodly amount of time has gone by.

Yeah. So. Announcement to all Star Wars-goers: Please don't post any spoilers until at least a couple of weeks have gone by, and most people will have had a chance to see it. Another good idea for those wanting to post spoilers of any kind, you ought to do the white text in the quote box thing. That way anyone who doesn't want to see it doesn't have to. Using the quote box is super good, since white text shows up faintly on every other post. Comme ca: Quote: You can't see me! I'm not writing any spoilers! Because I don't know them yet!
Here's the code: Code:
You can't see me! I'm not writing any spoilers! Because I don't know them yet!
I know I might be getting a little crazy about this, but I know how the poor people who can't go immediately must feel. Poor kids. Mwahaha! Only 3 hours and 45 minutes to go!

Argle. If only the rest of my family cared enough to go... I don't even know when I'm going to get to see it. Dang, I envy you all. Especially you, Iki. Man... Oh well. When they come out with Episodes VII, VIII and IX, I'll be there at midnight. |

I just got home too. It was one of the best movies ive ever seen. I do have school in like 2 hours but who cares it was worth it. I went an hour early but it look like i needed to come another half hour earlier to get the seats that i wanted but still i got decent seats. I must see this when it comes out in the IMAX theaters. But really, GO SEE IT! |

I definitely enjoyed the movie, but it's too early for me to pass judgment. We'll have to see how it holds up for subsequent viewings. That said: SPOILER ALERT wrote: OMGWTFBBQ! Palpatine is an evil Sith lord and Anakin becomes Darth Vader! Surprix0red!

Wow.. I saw it last night at 12:01 as well.. nothing like being surrounded by tons of star wars nerds!! lots of darth vaders and storm troopers in tha building! The movie itself was great. Hot diggety-shmiggety. TOTAL SPOILER: Quote: I'm so sad that amidaba died! It was such a tragedy :-< I kind of wished that she was more of a fighter, like Princess Leia-- I kept mulling over how Annie's desire to save her ultimately caused him to kill her.. not just by crushing her throat, but by making her feel that there was no more reason to live.. but hey, I gotta say.. she should've gotten over him!! I mean, there are other nice men out there in the universe, Padme! Don't give up so easily!! Nah well, it's too late now.
Oh, and a guy was out there selling "Sith Happens" shirts for like $2 or $3.. but I don't know, it just wasn't my style-- my brother brought some bootleg light sabers with him; they were called "Swords of Light"-- ah, it was classic. |

This spoiler business is going to get tiresome real fast, especially if we want to reply to eachothers' spoilers, etc., so how's about this: IF YOU DO NOT WANT ANY SPOILERS, DO NOT READ ANY POSTS BEYOND THIS ONE! Okay, I don't have any spoilers for this post, but that was necessary. How was you guys' theatre experience? Interestingly, of the three prequels (all of which I've been at opening night), this was the most mellow. Much less of a party than the other two. I think maybe it's because it's the first time the theatre I was at pre-sold tickets (hooray for Fandango!), so there was no marathon line-camping this time around. Last time I was in line for 14 hours, which was fantastic. This time, only about an hour. I'll never complain about not having to wait in line, but I think previously all that anticipation sort of fueled the party atmosphere. This time was still fun -- before the show (they admitted us to the theatre proper at about 10:30) some guy (just a fan, not theatre staff) was giving trivia questions and giving away cheap prizes. I got some cool stickers because I knew how old Yoda was when he died (900). One guy gave away $20 to the first person who knew what Captain Kirk's middle name was. That was unusual. Anyway, during the show there wasn't nearly as much cheering, hooting, and applause as there was last time. It was still fun, but, like I said, just more mellow. Oh! Also, while we were in the lobby, there was a lady from Toys 'R' Us and a guy dressed up like Geoffrey the Giraffe dressed up like Darth Vader. It was the strangest thing ever. Wee-ird. |

I haven't even seen it and I know that. EDIT: Maybe we should stick to the white quote box format. That way people can review the movie. |

I'll try to avoid spoilers and just brag about the AWESOME theatre I saw it in! (But just so ya know, I loved the movie - I thought that of the three modern made SWs, it was the best, but Return of the Jedi is still my all time fave.) I saw it at midnight last night in Abingdon, Virginia, which has HUGE screens, and THE George Lucas sound system - specifically designed for Star Wars movies. (Like when stuff a'splodes, your bottom vibrates, and you feel like you're there.) There's a rumor that Ewan McGregor will be stopping by that theatre next week sometime for a private screening.... I'll be in Abingdon all week outside the Cinemall if anyone needs me. *chair get up noise, runs away* |

![]() Is it just me, or in the last 5 or 10 years have geek grrls gotten a whole lot hotter? I realize this may be the wrong question for a group of people who were, by and large, still pre-pubescent 5 or 10 years ago. |

Last night at the movie there was a guy sitting in front of me who looked eerily like IJ. Somehow I think his road trip was a little longer than he had originally implied. Okay, here come the spoilers: Quote: OH MY GOD!!! Anakin lost ALL his limbs! What the heck was that all about? And the way Dooku died - man! I guess Lucas was really making up for the no-limbs-lost in Episode I.
And I'm a little confused about a couple of things that weren't really explained. How does Leia have memories of Padme? You can't remember stuff from the day of your birth. And why does Yoda have to tell Obi-Wan that "there is another"? And why does Dagobah seem familiar to Luke? I guess the Dagobah thing could've happened in between Episodes III and IV, but the others just don't make sense. And we got to see the Death Star! Super cool! But the way Anakin slaughtered all the younglings... Man, that was harsh. "Master Anakin, there are too many of them! What do we do?" "Well, I don't know about you, Padawan, but I'ma kill you and all your buddies now." OUCH! Okay, end of rant. For now. Until I see it again. Next week. |
