I have a list of books and such that make me cry.
Spoilers Lie Within. Read the title of the book/thing before reading:

Books:
Harry Potter 5 & 3: I read the end of 5 and when Sirius dies I broke up. Then I read the end of the third and bawled.
Three People You Meet In Heaven: All of it. Beginning to end.
Deltora Quest: When the baddie in the first book told his tale.

Songs:
Louis Armstrong What a Wonderful World: I dunno why.

Movies:
Edward Scissorhands: It was soon after my Ex-Girlfriend moved away. I stayed home violently sick. Saw the movie. Got a bit emotional when Ed gets chased away but broke apart when I heard "I had never seen him since that day."
Big Fish: With the son telling his father the story of how he dies and then the funeral following.
Old Yeller: Just guess.
Blade Runner: The last stand of Roy Batty. 'nuff said.
Soylent Green: When they find the celery and he gives it to the old man. Poignant. Major poignancy.
And last but not least...

Schindlers List: See it for yourself.

More as I think of them. Mind sharing some things in the Media that make you cry?

Return of the King gets me all weepy.

There are others, but I'm having trouble remembering them just now.

I can barely keep myself together hearing the "I will carry you" line.

I have no feelings. I scoff at you humans, and your inferior "tears."

I seriously got something in my eye when I saw Big Fish, though. I wasn't crying. I was...leaking.

I was almost in tears in Return of the King at the end. But what I don't get is the fact that THERE WAS ROOM FOR SAM. He's big, but not that big! What kind of friend would take extra luggage so they couldn't fit a guy who gaurded him for the longest journy of his life! BAH.

I was blubbery in the movie Radio when his mother died. That was sad.

If you're into this sort of thing, you might want to take a look at GreenCine's guide to Weepies.

Sad, isn't it?

Okay, I'll bite.

What Dreams May Come always makes me cry, no matter how many times I watch it.
Breakfast at Tiffany's when they finally find the cat and kiss in the rain.
There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom by Louis Sachar. 'Tis touching at the end.
Big Fish for reasons already posted.
13 Going on 30. It was so happy, it was sad.
Hospital Vespers by the Weakerthans. Just listen to it and you'll get it.
Time of Your Life by Green Day. That was the first song I heard on the radio after I found out my grandfather died.
And ER makes me cry all the frickin' time.

I'm sure there are many more that I can't think of right now, so I'll post 'em later.

I don't cry at movies or books. I don't attempt to render myself cold, I just don't usually find it sad enough.

I nearly cried at the end of Simon Birch, though. Truth be told, I haven't seen as many movies as others, so there are fewer opportunities for me to test my resistance to tears. =P

Thanks. It was 5 years ago now, and what makes it worse is that my grandmother had died the day before. But it was kind of nice to hear the song, though. Although I was driving, and had to pull over. :((

I've pretty much gotten over the grief now, though. :)

Wow... that would have most certainly made me cry.

Also, the book Maniac Magee makes me cry, as well as The Cay.

I don't know if any of you remember the Graduation Song by Vitamin C, but that was the big hit the spring I graduated from high school, and it made me all weepy whenever I heard it. It was the most illogical thing, because I hated high school and couldn't wait to leave, not to mention it's a saccharine-coated pop song, but to this day it still makes me a little misty if I hear it (which, admittedly, is only about once a year).

Wow, Jones. It's like you're the brother I never had. Or wanted.

Same here.

Well, since I graduated before you kids (ha!) I was celebrating my dropping out of university when that song came out, so it just made me mad.
But it is a sad song. In a happy way. Or something.

I can't think of any movies, but I can think of some other things that have made me cry.

The Little Drummer Boy- You know that old Christmas special with the stop motion? Yeah, the ending to that always gets me. It's so solemn and yet joyful at the same time.

The Amber Spyglass by Phillip Pullman- I'm not going to spoil it here (because I want you to read the book!), but this ending is absolutely tragic for the two main characters. I was crying for a good half hour after finishing it.

Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery- It might be a kid's book, but it's an amazing story. I loved that little guy so much and then he had to go and die at the end. :(

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker- I am the only person I know who has ever cried at a video game. The King's final speech before Link and Zelda return to the surface is so touching.

The only thing I have ever got close to crying to was "Charlie" and I was 11 at the time.

I'm far too macho to cry... except at some parts of the Wheel of Time series... like when everyone gets killed... Of course, that's followed by a bunch of awesomeness, and everyone comes back, so then it's okay.

The only thing that ever made me "weepy" was The Perfect Storm, and only because it was a true story.

See? I DO have a soul. I'm a real boy!

And Dark Grapefruit, the Amber Spyglass and its two prequels are probably the, oh, fourth best book series of all time, trumped only by in this order, The Dark Tower, LoTR, and The Wheel of Time.

I have to admit Wake me up when september ends also by Green Day makes me sad, I was seriously tearing up when I was listening to that and reading a dead girl from my city's (she died in a car accident two days after her last post) blog and that of her friends after her death.

Also Ten Years Gone by Zepplin makes me sad

"The death of St. Jimmie" movement from Homecoming also by Green Day wrenched my gut a bit because it brought back a thought I don't care to elaborate on.

Add me to the list of people made sad by that song

In anime: Eva and Naruto Eva is abbriveated(sp?) I can't spell the entireity of it and Naruto just builds the characters so well and gives them all a soul you can get to know and love and then takes them away with too many kunai to the head.

Yeah, both of those almost always get me teary-eyed, as well as Good Charlotte's "Emotionless" and Seal's "Kiss from a Rose".
